Beta Sports Fixtures with addon and PVR stream playback
#46
Love the Search function, works really well as somewhat of a 'Favorite Teams' section! One thing is the game time is listed in military time for the Search, where in the rest of the sections it's a 12 hour clock..Not a big deal though

For playable channels, it looks like they're listed on the game selection screen..Could you detect it from there? Or maybe you could auto-play if there's only one channel:

version 0.0.24
- Settings \ Play Match if Only One Channel

Try this. It should just play the channel if there is only one stream.
There is a right click Choose Channel option to get to the full channel menu.

I've made Search use your Country setting now so the time format should be the same as your other listings.

[EDIT] In Search you can use the OR operator | to search for multiple teams in the same search eg.

Nice!! That auto-play setting works perfectly, and really speeds up switching between games

Search is even better than expected, really cool to be able to add favorite teams from different sports into one Search - Thank you!

With GetYourFixtures shutting down, are there any other services like it that could be re-connected to this addon?

I thought it was too good to last long. Wink

If anyone finds one please let me know.

The BBC Sports site is probably closest.

www.thesportsdb.com has all the stuff needed if you want to move over

I've even started listing TV events now, but of course needs users to add the data.

Hi Primaeval.

im Ant from Renegades. Thank you for bringing this addon to the mix and thank you for letting us use Sports Fixtures in Renegades.

its a shame that it is no longer working. However, alternatives you would be looking at would be

http://www.livesoccertv.com/schedules/ - we use this more and more and just look up by country

http://www.thesportsdb.com as you quite rightly said Docwra

http://www.wheresthematch.com - its free for Football Rugby & Cricket but if you want the full you need to pay £2.99 per year.

http://liveonsat.com

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/all-sports - and then when you click into a section for example American Football(its not FOOTBALL!) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/american-football/fixtures -

but the only drawback is it doesn't append any channels

We would love to help in any way with any data that needed adding.

Thanks you two. I'll have a look next week sometime.
We used to call football soccer when I was growing up.
If you pick up the ball and run with it its not really foot-ball anymore is it? Maybe handball. Wink

liveonsat.com looks the best to me.
They seem to get their sources from here:

Do you know any other free source of satellite epg data without doing this? Wink

possibly the individual channels have EPG data on them.

So I know FOX Sports has schedule data on it, quite what you can scrape from there and how detailed it is im not sure - http://www.foxsports.com

Same with NBC - http://www.nbcsports.com

Bein Sports has an EPG but unfortunately it is not available in the UK(and you would need a VPN to access the data, or I do anyway - whether that's just me I don't know) http://www.beinsports.com/

TSN has a very good schedule - http://www.tsn.ca/

as does Mio Stadium - http://www.singteltv.com.sg/programme-guide.asp

Not sure what type of EPG data you need, but can you get the info from Zap2It? They have a 'Sports' filter..

These things are not much good unless they have an API or some kind of feed.

If I could find something like that, I may be able to integrate it into TheSportsDB site.

I started having a look at liveonsat.com.
They have been super sneaky.
The deal breaker is that they use images for the actual match fixture which would need image recognition to read.

I've signed up as primaeval at TheSportsDB site but haven't got a confirmation email yet.
It looks quite promising.
I was thinking of using the user's xmltv file to cross-reference the leagues they are interested in with a bit of fuzzy matching.

The Kodi addon "The Sports Database" seems to just be for recorded TV Shows, not forthcoming ones, or have I miss-read it?
