Every time I look for Kodi 17.3, all I can find is Kodi for 32 Bit and not 64 Bit. Where is the 64 Bit version?

Yes, we only have Kodi v17.3 which is the official release. It is 32Bit.

There is no official 64bit release for Kodi on Windows.

You don't need 64-bit. Use the 32-bit version.

Yes the 32 bit version will run fine on the Windows 64 bit version, have you never noticed that there's two Program Files folders in Windows 64 bit version, one for 32 bit apps and one for 64 bit apps.

As Karellen stated, there is no 64bit release version for Windows since it's still under developement.

So check out the link above and click on <Windows> icon... then click on <Development Builds> tab and you should see a 64 bit development version.
Try it if you like but since it's in development, there may be some issues that still need to be sorted out.

And any 32bit application will install and run without issues on a 64bit windows system so 17.3 release should work for you without issue should you prefer to stay away from bleading edge code.

I think that the title "Kodi v18 Windows 64-bit is here" of that news-post most have confused many users, as that title make it sounds as if Kodi v18 (final) for Windows 64-bit have now been released.

But the fact as we all know is that Kodi v18 final have not yet been released and any v18 final is many months away.

So comes down to a bad choice of title for that news-post IMHO. It should instead have been named "Kodi for Windows 64-bit is almost here", or "Kodi for Windows 64-bit alpha builds available for testing" or something like that.

I call that bullshit

It's not "almost" here. The builds are available and ready to be used. Users should use their own goddamn brain to think or at least read. When you go to the download section you get v17 as current release and v18 as development release.

Not really better choice as it may make peoples think that kodi does not work right now on windows 64-bit

OP's issue may have simply been that when clicking Windows icon, it may not be obvious to him that the "Development Builds" text is indeed clickable and opens that tab... or that 32bit would work for him...

And always suprising when users think they must run 64 bit only, when 64 bit Windows happily runs both flavours of software, and quite a lot of software is still 32 bit only.

Of course native 64bit Kodi offers quite a few advantages and efficiencies in the video processing, and in the longer term is the future of the software.

Speaking of which, is there a place now to get updates on the development progress of 64bit builds? Last I heard was that part necessary for MPEG-DASH support in YouTube was broken for 64bit and that's what's keeping me from moving up to the 64bit build.
