Can you allow an option to make the volume/timedate OSDs have a background, as with fuse and zephyr? Couldn't make out the text a few times at all because of the light scenes during playback of some video.
I've added a vignette effect behind volume/notifications that should improve the readability a bit. I was playing around with having a backing panel but I found it really jarring when switching from fullscreen back to the home screen. I'm not certain about the vignette effect yet, I'm going to test it out when I'm watching TV tonight and see if I like it. It does improve the readability, but I'm not sure if it is better or worse than a backing panel in terms of aesthetics.

Do you think you would be willing to add Top250 info to Showcase view? It would be really helpful for managing my Top250 collection to see the number as i am scrolling through the playlist, instead of having open the info dialog for each movie.

As for audio and subtitle languages, I know it can be tough to place when using flags (which I prefer, since I am a great fan of colored media icons and flags). Perhaps use the language codes instead? That might be easier to place.

On another note, if you use an ExtendedInfo widget, like Upcoming Movies, and press Enter on any of the widget elements, the ExtendedInfo dialog that appears is superimposed on the main screen, so it is very difficult to read. Here is an example: https://1drv.ms/i/s!AlII29kkG6TFh_EsmyUW5OySYV63JA

Thanks again Jurial, this is certainly one of the best skins there is!

Way ahead of you regarding imdb top250 -- I already moved it to be next to the ratings flags so it should show in showcase and infolist also. (btw it's supplied by skin helper, not database values).

Already found a spot for audio/subs flags -- just about the description in videoinfo next to where it says "Plot". Not sure if it is confusing or not though (i.e. that it appears to be indicating what language the plot is in rather than the movie) -- but I'll guess I'll just wait and see if anyone mentions it!

Extendedinfo bug should be fixed now. Completely missed that, so thanks for reporting! Smile

First the question... how can I make the metacritic and rotten tomato's rating show? I even rescraped and still not sure what I am missing. I have a api key for the TMDB and TVDB but not see where I may need to add them.

Okay bug report ( I can get screenshots if need):
1. I had a video playing went to audio setting and increase the volume. save/close volume indicator remains no matter where I go in the skin.
2. Music playing go to preset and a blank dialog pops up. Not sure what is supposed to be here.
3. Add-ons navigations with remote... you once you select a add-on you lose focus and need a mouse to actually install/ disable/ etc.
4. Lastly the weather widget? Description has 2 lines the second line is being cut off.
5. only suggestion would be to add the ability to disable a default item in the skin shortcuts instead of deleting it .

Other then that everything seems to be working as expected. Looks great I like that you can use the mouse in most cases.

For metacritic/rottentomatoes you need an omdb api key, which you can get by donating $1 USD a month via Patreon to the omdb maintainer. Once you setup donations you then request a key via an email link and once you receive it you add it to skin helper.

API request link: http://www.omdbapi.com/apikey.aspx
Instructions in skin helper thread: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2601478
Make sure you delete simplecache.db after adding the api key.

1. I can't reproduce this bug, maybe a screenshot and exact steps? What do you mean by audio settings? From the OSD or somewhere else?
2. It is supposed to show a list of the presets for that particular visualisation, but all the visualisations I have don't appear to have any presets -- I'm not sure if it has a bug or what is going on (definitely nothing wrong on the skin end as it just uses DialogSelect which works fine, plus I remember it working previously).
3. I thought I already fixed the addons issue (should be able to press left or click to open the side menu). Make sure you have the latest version (1.0.4) (and if you installed via zip, make sure you give the zip file a unique name everytime otherwise kodi just thinks you are installing the old versions and reuses its cached zip package).
4. Can you get a screenshot of the weather widget. I don't see any text cut off,, is it the weather conditions text? Might be that my current conditions are only one line.
5. Disabling them is really confusing I find. Default items can always be restored with the restore button in the customisation menu.

2. Gotcha
3. You have fixed it.
4. I will once I get bad weather again I should have to begin with didn't think about it at the time.
5. Gotcha.

Sorry I said anything lol looks like I being a butt hole. I should have made sure I had everything updated that's my fault.

1.0.5

Added widget aspect options. Next to the widget selection is a picture/image icon, click that to cycle through the different aspect ratios (square, poster, landscape).

Yeah it wasn't skinned.
Should be fixed now. Channel manager still needs some work, but at least both work now.

Works fine now cheers. I just assumed Kodi would fallback it's default dialog if none was found, TIL :p

Yeah that would make more sense. I didn't think not having it would cause a crash though. Just pushed a few more changes to the channel manager dialog.

Thanks again! Top250, solved, I like where it sits Smile (I changed it to database value, no worries, whenever you update Includes_Object, I'll change it again).

You are right about the language and subtitle flags. Would you consider making another column next to the column of info that now has Director, Writer and Genre? Maybe with Audio: <flags>
Subtitles:<flags>

That might be a solution.

Extendedinfo issue solved as well, thanks!

For the movie logos, I thought that perhaps you can show the logo where you now have the discart, when a movie has logo, but does not have discart. For TV shows, you could show the logo in the same place. What do you think?

Bart

I like it a lot. I even like the infolist viewtype format a lot. The only thing I don't like is how small the text area is for the plot in infolist. Here's my request. Please make a view type that's like this:

The artwork on the left is made much smaller and moved to the upper-right, The episode list then expands up now taking up also the position where the description was. The description uses the whole area over on the left where the left where the artwork was. If we then have a fanart background, that would work out great.

Otherwise, if we can't do the image at the top-right, at least make it a lot smaller and give the plot as much room as you can over there. Can't wait to see how this goes!

Due to significant vision issues (legally blind), I am a slow reader. I have to let it cycle through 4 or 5 times before i can read it all. Would love to have it all shown at one time.

One other thing. When paused and showing the show name, episode number and description.... Would you add an option to show that at the top instead of the bottom so it doesn't cover up subtitled. And make the plot area bigger. Smile I suppose the artwork should be aligned to the top with it when that's enabled. Thank you!

Very very nice.

I just wish the category widget/icons were more discrete. Estuary has the same style, and imho it takes too much space.
I see you added an option to move them below, but maybe you will consider making a small icon option to make them less intrusive.

Something like what pkscout estuary mod, like that is a nice way to keep an acces to the nodes but highlight more the media

Cheers and thanks your amazing skins for Kodi

Yeah that might be the solution to the language flags. I was trying to avoid adding a second column so that the genre/writer info could be as wide as possible (because some are really long!), but I think this might be the only thing to do.

Logo idea is great I will implement that shortly!

I'm not sure if I understand exactly the layout you mean

Are you saying something like this?
(The asterisks being where the poster goes)
Code:
-----------------------
| Title            |**|
| Flags            |**|
|       |-------------|
| Plot  | List        |
| Plot  |             |
| Plot  |             |
-----------------------

Are you using a files view or something like that? How is your library set up? Are you using something like emby or plex or another add-on to supply content?

The skin checks to see if the current item has Art(poster) Art(tvshow.poster) or Art(season.poster) and if it doesn't it assumes that it is an icon or album art or episode thumb and uses the square format.

Also can you test with latest git and see if this is still happening

You can turn off showing the poster and plot when paused in skin settings (it should be off by default). I find it odd to have everything at the top.

I've been thinking about somehow reducing the size of the categories icons, and think this is a very good solution to have as an option. Will have a go at implementing something like this. Thanks for the suggestion! Smile
