Yeh there are a few Add-ons out there already. One is a tvshow scraper, another is a livescore notifier, and another browsed the teams but is since defunct.

I will authorize your user now.

At the moment users still have to update a tv schedualed event with the channel name. I do it for a few things like Formula E but there is not enough data there really yet.

The little TV icon denotes there is tv shedual data on an event:

I improve the API as needed, just ask.

The events API should already be working for both results and future events.

The last channel list I have from Sports Fixtures has 759 channels in it.
Would you be able to integrate a Webgrab scrape of those channels into the search?
I don't know how many potential channels there are for all the yearly sports fixtures but it shouldn't be infinite.
Probably the big sports packages and a few of the main terrestrial channels for each country would cover most of the fixtures.
Looking at the list about 80% of the channels seem to have the word "Sport" in them. They should be easy to find. Wink

I mean if you want a challenge, try parsing http://liveonsat.com/los.other_motor.php (used motor sports as an example but basically any sport) for which sat channels are showing events then grab the data from webgrabplus for just that channel

- switched to BBC Sports

It's back. The resurrection has begun. Wink

I've used the BBC Sports web site for Calendar and Fixtures pages.
There is no Channel info at all so far.
No Searches.
No Any Sport list.
No Icons.

The BBC site is the most comprehensive one I have found so far.
I'm having problems getting future events from TheSportsDb but I'll add it if things change.
liveonsat is a no go due to the fixtures using png images instead of text.

Many sports don't have a fixtures list yet so they may need fixing when the seasons are closer to starting.

Bug reports, recommendations, icons and code would be appreciated.

Yep TheSportsDB will be working when the new seasons start in the next month hopefully. Still waiting for a lot of fixtures to be released at the moment for testing.

Here the dialog window only have one option.

That's all there is so far.
There is a long way to get it back to where it was.
I'm using BBC Sports now instead of getyourfixtures as they closed.
Keep an eye out for anything better that I can use.

Now that we have fixtures in there(and nearly all sections are populated), is it possible to append some channels to them at all? Would that be possible? I know it scrapes the BBC site for its data, but if we could provide the channel data for the fixtures that are on there, then that's half the battle isn't it?

I was hoping to get more details of matches in there first rather than just tournaments but I suppose most people are just interested in football (both types) which I have got match times for.

I'll see if I can look at matching an xmltv file's programs when I get the energy.

BBC does have a baseball page, though I'm actually not finding 'fixtures' section which I'm assuming you need:

Not easily. I made a little script to check all the BBC Sports for "scores-fixtures", "fixtures" or"calendar" sub-pages that have the match details on.

Although there are lots of Baseball games in the main page there isn't a match page. If you find one I can scrape I'll add it in.
Are there just too many games or some kind of licensing problem?
