wow, amazing effort... GREAT job !! ...my new default skin for sure !!

Realise its far to early for requests, only request I would have is to be able to set the rectangular 'Highlight' window colour when viewing media via the slide window. realise you can change it via the 'Accent and Unfocused'... To be a selectable colour separate from changing the Text/font colour (accent and unfocused) or to be able to use the colour as set by the 'Secondary Unfocused Text'.

Hope that makes, other than this I wouldn't change a thing !

Skin Settings > Visual Effects > Animated Backgrounds (Selected)

On the Homescreen, when the image initially loads and is zoomed in, the right side bleeds over to the left side of the screen and covers the menu.

When you press down to go to the sub-menu, the main category disappears.



Widget View

If there is not album art, there is a blank space instead of a placeholder image.



Widget View > Recently Added Movies > Information

The only option you get is "Extended Info" and it doesn't work. Plus there is no movie title in the header or background art. But if you go to the same movie through the "Movies" category you get the full list of options.




** Side note, the extended info script does not seem to work if the movie is part of a collection.

They are working on my LibreElec setup but do not seem to be showing up on my Mac setup. The default ratings show up on my Mac.

Thank you, tried and it worked. Hopefully The blur effect will in future updates be available for vertical and also in movie/tv view modes too. (blurred fanart like plex media player)

Just to be clear (as it's not really mentioned in the opening post), the GRID skin is for Krypton and upwards?

Yes, currently Kodi 17 / Krypton. Some work on a Kodi 18 / Leia compatible version has been done already, but the focus is on Krypton for now.

This is every bit as stunning as I had hoped. Quick question that I can't figure out. When using an entry from the home menu, the sub menu comes up, then an extra click takes me into the menu item. Is there a way to either disable that from happening, or move the submenu to a left scroll, etc?

There is no way apart from not setting a submenu on that item, no. The vertical menu is actually one big menu of main and submenu items where the submenu items become visible upon selecting the main menu item (or perform a single action when there is no submenu). This menu cannot be edited in the way you describe.
Personally, I don't think there's anything intuitive about opening a menu by pressing left. Clicking something to open it is more logical imo, it's something you see in other UX. It's worth it imo having to click twice in some circumstances. When opening a submenu pressing left doesn't save any clicks and it's even slower as you have to perform two different actions.

In the widget section.. how do you change the white background, i ask because when scrolling in the widget area, the background is white and highlight is white. So I can't see what movie or TV show I'm highlighting in my widgit

This has been fixed in the meantime.

Did some testing and I noticed two small PVR problems. In the PVR info menu channel logos and program images are cut off.

Logo's probably don't have a square aspect ratio in that case. Changed it so that it scales from the center, that should fix it mostly.

In the plot outline/subtitle info field there should be a space between "Jakso" (episode) and the episode number. If the plot outline/subtitle info field contains some text but no season or episode number, there is an unnecessary comma in the end.

The words "Aloita" and "Loppu" should be "Alkaa" and "Loppuu". Those seem to be in the core Kodi translation and I don't know if they can be changed without breaking something.

I wouldn't know either So you're saying for translation a skin provided string would be better in this case?

Overall the skin looks really good and I did some fixes to the translation in Transifex.

Nope. Well not now anyway. It's a PITA to skin and frankly I never use it. One of the beta testers has requested it too, so maybe at some point.. At least until after the official release I want to focus on the core skin. And then the Leia release. Then, if I still have time left I can take a look at specific add-ons

I've seen it once, and then I couldn't reproduce anymore. Weird, but will investigate.

Confirmed. Next update will have a partial fix for this. Partial as in there will be a fallback image, but not the way I would like to. Fallback images in the library are black and white images with a colordiffuse so the color can be customized. That is hard to do here, will need some time to (hopefully) come up with a solution.

Very weird. The info is pulled by the Skin Service Helper add-on. Are they both running the same version of that add-on? In any case, Grid doesn't discriminate platforms
