Noto provides just two font weights which are not very far apart. So even though it solves the missing characters problem, it wouldn't provide the variation in weight needed in the main menu to distinguish between unfocused and focused items.

Also, Noto isn't really one font, but a huge collection of fonts per language. Meaning each language would need it's own fontset included.

hi there noticed another issue when using a youtube addon channel in a widgets. I don't seem to be able to display the channel items as thumbnails for landscape 16.9 only option being returned is to render fanart.

Hey Jeroen, currently when a show finishes kodi goes back to the home screen. Is it an idea (if possible) to make it return to the widget screen? BTW I'm loving the way it handles widgets, makes a lot of sense.

Is there any way to change the Watched and Unwatched icons? Looks like it is referencing a glyph in the Symbols font rather than a png but not sure.

Correct, all icons are in the symbols font and set through variables.

And I didn't get an answer to my earlier question if it was possible to hide the horizontal submenu on the homescreen unless activated, thanks.

Possibly, but no plans for it at the moment. A problem with this is, when scrolling back up there is not a way to make the submenu hide again automatically which creates a weird difference in behaviour between scrolling down and scrolling up.

hi jeroen, great skin loving it so far. One issue i am seeing is that icons seem to have disappeared for me on the vertical menu.
I am still on Grid 1.0.7.

oops... i got a problem,
when i just finished watching movie but the icon of unwatched not turning to watched icon

to turning that icon i must restart the kodi

Not possible as far as I know. To do this I would need an event to base the conditions and actions that are set on. So, the skin would need to know that something just stopped playing in order to say go back to the widgets. Skins can only check whether something is playing or when something is not playing, but not when something just stopped playing.

PVR debug information is visible in the player process info menu (press O) even when playing normal videos or library content.

Great, I also found another alternative that looks pretty good I think. I'll add that as a choice in a later update. I will also put a description in the fontset names that will indicate which languages are supported by that font (latin, greek, cyrillic, etc.)

Can you see the icons in the home customization dialog? What happens when you try to change the icons? Highlight the icon and select as in below picture)

Thanks jm, yeah I just added Source Sans Pro as an alternate fontset. Not a big fan of Fira personally. Nimbus looks pretty nice and classic, might have to consider that too. But Source Sans Pro (and Roboto) should support Cyrillic, Greek, Latin and Vietnamese. Still a lot of languages missing like hebrew and asian languages, but it's a good start )

Yeah I can see them in the customisation screen and can change them but after I leave settings and the skin reloads when the main vertical menu is displayed there are no icons either at the top level or for any of the sub-menu items
