Would it be possible to ad a alternative font for the skin apart from Arial based?
I am have a handycap in sight and have problems reading the texts in epg and all the smallest texts. Would it be possible to add a slightly bigger font got those with handycap. I know this isn't that easy because thinga start to look messed up. But just a little bigger and maybe a little bit less eye candy would be acceptable. For me at least. I think you would do a lot of people with handycap happy

I love this skin and since I discovered it some weeks ago I using it as my daily driver for all my set top boxes.

I'm having a problem trying to modify the settings for the Music section. Even after choosing to remove all the things I didn't need (like Top 100, Compilations, Roles) they still continue to show up when I click on the music tab. I did press save changes and when I look back into the submenu options the choices I made are still there. Don't know what else I could do to get rid of the extra clutter...

Once again I find myself using one of your skins @jurialmunkey ;D Loving it so far.
One of my favourite things about Arctic: Zephyr and Eminence is the "info overlay". Glad to see it's still around in Horizon.

Would it be possible to move the "tagline" a bit closer to the title, make the space between the tagline and text below bigger and perhaps also reduce the font size of the plot + reduce the gap between each line of text?
I also quite like the opacity in the other skins.

Also, I've added "SetFocus(9601)" to my joystick.xml and it works great to bring up the info overlay in the video libraries (TV Shows/Movies), but is there a reason why it won't work on the home screen, on widget items?
Doing so brings up the info overlay, but most of the time it's just a black screen and it won't let me close it in any way... Is this a bug?

EDIT: Every now and then I seem to get the plot to show, but there's no title showing. Still no way to close the overlay.

Pushed a few updates to github. I've increased the background overlay transparency a bit. The plot overlay should also now work on the home widgets. The home screen uses skin helper, so you might have to wait a moment or two for skin helper to pull in the info. I have to use skin helper on the home screen because otherwise I need a variable with 96 conditions for each individual widget container which is just a massive pain to manage code wise. Fixed the bug where you can't close the overlay on the home screen.

Also, I prefer the larger plot size and spacing - I find it much easier to read.
The tagline is put with the plot because it makes the variables and spacing much easier to manage.

Sorry, but no. In Arctic Zephyr I had multiple fontsets for different sizes, and honestly it is just way too much of a pain to manage properly. A lot of spacing of elements is directly based upon the size of the font. A larger font set really needs to be its own skin mod.

The customisation screen only changes what shortcuts are shown on the home screen. It doesn't modify Kodi's library nodes. If you want to edit library nodes, you need to use the library node editor add-on which is available from the official repository.

I don't know if this is a Kodi issue in general or if it's because of the skin, but I recently tried to make my first playlist on Kodi, and while I was selecting songs that aren't entirely made up of alphanumeric characters (for example, a song name might have the character : or a Chinese character) the playlist automatically removed those parts of the name, which then rendered it incapable of finding the correct file because the name on the playlist and the name in the actual database no longer matched. Is there a fix for this issue? I wasn't able to easily find one on Google.

@Ludibrium - does it happen with Estuary? That's how you can test if it's a skin or kodi issue. I don't have any songs with Chinese characters so I can't test.

It does happen with Estuary so I would guess this isn't something I can fix. Came across this comment on why it happens too.

Along these lines, Kodi can read m3u playlist encoded as UTF-8, but when it writes it I believe PlayListM3U forces conversion of UTF-8 to ANSI. So the effect is that an M3U playtlist generated from UTF-8 character filenames, or music tag data, is unusable in Kodi (or any other software) since UTF-8 characters that don't map to ANSI are just omitted from the output.

I need more detail than that. A full debug log of the crashes is a good start. Also, is there any pattern to the crashes? What are you doing at the time? What are your system specs? What OS? What addons do you have installed?

is there a way to save the imdb and rotten tomatoes ratings? i did it the way you described and got it working. when i start kodi and go into the libary everything works fine.

however- after watching something (could even be youtube) it stops. it displays only imdb ratings but only 1 and thats the same for all movies and shows.

if i reload the skin it works again (at least half the time).

dont know if this is skin depended but since i read someone asking for skins which evencan display these ratings i thought id ask here.

so basically- is there either a way to fix the bug or a way to download these ratings once? cause right now i have the feeling it downloads the ratings the Moment im in the libary cause i always get a delay of one sec switching from movie a to b. so maybe a way to add these ratings in the texture folder.

or is this a scraper problem u can do nothing against?

The ratings are supplied by Skin Helper, so there isn't much I can do about it.

Do you have the beta version of skin helper? Also, do you have an omdb api key and have you added it to metadata utils settings?
The strain on the omdb server from kodi meant that marcelveldt had to add a delay to retrieve the info if you don't have an omdb api key. The ratings are retrieved on the fly. However, once the ratings are downloaded, they should be cached.

yes- i have the beta repo and installed the newest version of skin helper.

i also got an omdb api key and added it to metadata utils along side fanart api and imdb api.

like i said- it works when i quit/reload the skin. i go into movies and everything is fine. its just after watching something it stops working. and it doesnt cache like the advanced fanart scraped with artwork beef.


edit: i think i found the mistake. in the imdb api (developer key) i used the v4 api- not the v3. with the v3 it looks like it caches the ratings.

ill test it a bit and then get back here.
