[pf-flyer]

Kodi Backup has been working flawlessly. It has suddenly stopped working on my Android TV boxes and the Kodi installation my PC. I have done several complete rebuild from the ground up several times and I still  the same error.  I am still in the learning stage with KODI. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have removed your log as we do not allow logs to be posted in the forum.

Please ensure you have enabled debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging, restarted Kodi then replicated the problem.

Repost your log:

1. Locate a Pastebin type site. Two examples are https://pastebin.com/ or https://paste.ubuntu.com/
   
2. Paste the contents of the kodi.log file
   
3. Press Paste or Generate or Create New Paste
   
4. When the screen refreshes with your paste, copy the entire address in the address bar and paste it into a new message in your thread
   

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs

Hello all !
I meet exactly the same trouble than "pf-flyer" & "[email protected]"... 
I am sorry to have a so poor english that I didn't understand the last reply by "Karellen" ... didn't found anything in 129499 (thread) (Didn't found the fix, I mean...)

Since one week the add-on Backup fail to launch, whatever the platform (Nvidia, PC, Mac & Bbox... Different versions of kodi used (17.3, 17.5, 17.6, even 18 beta on windows 10 x64..) nothing... sometimes installation is ok after a de install, sometimes giveback the message "error backup - See log etc... " 
But even if the install is ok... the same message raised after launching the backup... Even choosing a local path for the backup, doesn't work... 

I retrieved at least the log from Nvidia Shield via filezilla... I've found nothing explicit inside... but I'm not an expert... 

@Karellen : would you please be so kind to show me exactly where the link speak of the 'fix' you talked about ?... 

Is there any other solution ? (Backup seem the most comfortable add-on for Kodi I used it a lot and each time, was perfect... I've tried to install the tools from 'Ares Project' but I was not able to find the place of the 'good' repo.... 
(I must be a dumb... ha ha ha ... well... not fun... )
Please help, if you have any idea... ;-)

I found the thread about the fix... download the zip file, install it... give an error message... but seems to work !...

I have not tested this, so cannot confirm if it works. But the author Robweber is active in that thread, and he would have corrected any mistaken information. I am only pointing you and the other members to the appropriate thread.
