DMS has only recently added an API for timer rules. It's on my todo list but I'm fairly busy with work and private life.

I mean to add a Timer that searches for a Word in EPG and sets the Timer automatic. That is possible in GUI EPG.But for Family it is not so easy ..

Yes this is also a killer feature for me, I love dvbviewer for speed and stability but series recording from Kodi is needed for WAF ....

I have never looked at the Kodi timer concept in great detail, but I doubt that it can be better than the DVBViewer Recording Service/Media Server web interface on a mobile device.

Might not be better, but the WAF is terrible. She wants to operate TV with a remote, not with a PC or mobile....

you can do returning timers allready. only the automatic timer rule to record a tv series automatic don't work.

Any developments on this?  I'm aware of the mobile/web interfaces but as others have mentioned, WAF requires ability to create series links from the actual EPG.  I'm stuck with DVBLink (TV Mosaic -ugh!) at the moment because of this requirement but I'd love to jump back to DVBViewer if/when this gets implemented.

Subscribe to https://github.com/manuelm/pvr.dvbviewer/issues/23 and get notified as soon as it's implemented. There's no point in asking me multiple times unless you can also make the day a little longer.

Hello,
great to see that timer rules now working. But i note an issue or bug. When adding a series to a timer rule in Kodi (v18) all belonging episodes timer are created correct. But after i delete a series timer rule all other episode timer still exists and will not be deleted and so i have to manually delete them all. Please note that this worked correct with tvmosaic pvr addon which i used before.

This is the way the DMS works. You simply have to delete them manually.

I like to come back to this issue. Now i use V19 alpha with build from 4.5.2019. When i want to delete a timer rule Kodi now ask are you sure to delete this timer rule and all planed timer through this rule to be deleted too. After confirming this only the timer rule will be deleted but not the timer planed recordings.  So i think either this is a Kodi bug or a dvbviewer addon bug. Please note that when i manual delete the each planed timer recordings in Kodi will also delete the recordings in dvbviewer.
