Been using this skin for a few years now and while I love it, its started to feel stale.
I really like some of the elements you have in Aura, like the color gradients and the play screen look (would still like to see the time > time ended in the right )

Any chance well see a Zephyr v2 with some tweaks?

Highly unlikely. I haven't used this skin in years, so I'm not very motivated to spend time working on new features for it.

May I ask, what do you find missing from Aura that is in Arctic?

You have real lovers for this skin because is simple, clean and vertical menu.

In my option the best deal is mixing or fusion some new elements and code between Aura and Arctic

Also, @jurialmunkey , since Artwork Downloader is practically dead, could you fix the bug that exists with Artwork Beef?
It generally works fine, but when choosing fanart, there is no change in colour when selecting or deselecting items and it's really confusing.
The method is different when choosing e.g. posters, so there's no problem there.

I'd like to make sure that I'm using whichever skin that you're actively working on for your latest and greatest changes!

What I like about Zephyr is its over all clean and simple look. 

I didn't give Aura much use when I first posted, so used it a bit more to really see. Fist thing is I ended up removing the widgets., while they're nice I find them detracting and only used them in Zephyr with the "press up to" display widgets toggle.

I just like displaying a menu [ Moves -  TV - Etc - Settings ] the Time, then have the background display a image of recently added mores or shows.

Things I would like to see is a vertical submenu, and a option to see widgets by pressing, down? .
When watching media, I would like to see the time and ending time when you bring up the controls.
I feel the colored icons are distracting


making them white would look a bit cleaner.
 

Also, I was wondering when In a list view is possible to bring up info for whatever you have highlighted by pressing right. (I dont know if this would be a skin thing or what)

@jurialmunkey To your question what's missing in Aura : Aura is a great skin. I use it and it is one of my favorites, but Arctic's library views are generally better - better arranged, more good looking. Especially this one :



It is perfect in every way - colors, arrangement of the information (posters, plot etc.), media labels, the clock/date ... everything, and I miss it a lot. Especially the media labels/rating, which are the best I've seen overall and I've tried almost every Kodi skin that matters.

So, If you port the media labels (like some skin option "use alternative labels" or something) and add/replace the library view above, Aura will fully replace Arctic for me. I know there is a similar view in Aura, but it is not as good as this one. Aura's view puts too much info in one portion of the screen which makes it somewhat hard to read. Also I doesn't emphasis the movie poster as much as I'd like. In short - it looks similar, but it is not so well arranged as Arctic's at all. Also the scrolling animation is not so nice, compared to Arctic's.

Overall, I'd love Aura's excellent home screen combined with Arctic's library views :-D.

I appreciate that people really love Arctic (and Eminence), so I do plan to keep both up-to-date and working with new Kodi releases. I used both of these skins as my daily drivers for a very long time. However, the fact of the matter is that I simply do not have time to add new features to skins which I no longer use daily. I really only have time to work on one skin, and the skin that I use daily is Aura, so that is the skin that I spend my skinning time on. I really appreciate people taking the time to give feedback, and will look at incorporating some of it into Aura.

- I have added a monochrome flag option to Aura. It is in Skin Settings > Library (you have to scroll to see the setting).
- I have been considering how to make an optional simpler home screen and you have given me a few ideas. Absolutely no ETA on this, but your feedback has been very useful.

- I agree with you that the Big Poster view in Arctic is nicer. The equivalent view in Aura is definitely a weak spot in that skin which I've tried many times to address and haven't really found a solution to yet.
- By "media labels" are you referring to the audio/video info (e.g. resolution, audio channels, codec etc.)?
- Aura will eventually have a light theme.
- I am trying to maintain a distinct theme/personality for Aura, but your comments about what you like in Arctic have provided some great feedback and things for me to think about, so thankyou!

 Thank you so much. I am really looking forward to see the first Arctic Zephyr release for Kodi 18. Actually this is the missing piece to finally get rid of my OEM dvr.

 @jurialmunkey Great news to hear from you. I'm really happy that we're on the same page about the "Big Poster" view :-). To your question - yes, by media labels I mean the info about resolution, audio, codec etc. Fully agree with @Nervosa btw - monochrome is neater and not so distracting.
