It's a known issue and not yet fully implemented.

Thanks for the log file, but it doesn't show much that I can see. Maybe you can try deleting the Add-on settings from userdata but thats about all I can suggest.

When addon installed, Kodi closed … no time to write ESN, UN and PASS...

Quick question. Don't have my log available just wanted to see if anyone has seen this behavior. I can play certain series without issue., i.e. House of Cards, Ozark, Sabrina. But when I try to play American Horror Story the menu does not go away. The spinning circle freezes, but you can hear the audio playing in background. No video as it is stuck on the menu which had slowly started to fade away as if it was going to switch to the video. I can try and get a log if need be later. Running beta 15

Update:

I played around with the InputStream settings. For Max Resolution secure decoder, Max/1080p and 720p do not work. Dropping to 640p and the video played fine. Not a great workaround since that quality drop is noticeable on the big screen. Other shows play fine at Max/1080p.

I also tried changing the stream selection to Manual so I could switch streams while playing. But that didn't work, I just got the blue spinning circles and the video never played.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't think of checking the inputstream settings. I dropped to 640 as well and it did work. I don't notice a drop in quality. So this will work for me.

Beta 15 has been working for me but now I get an error when trying to play anything - cipherkeyid for encrypt must be a string or bytearray. On kodi 18 beta 3 on shield

The Netflix plugin is down now in all of its releases.

I also have an issue with beta 15 can't no longer play anything I have an error "viewables"

I am getting errors on playcount with both those zips.
Changing line 177 in ~\resources\lib\navigation\player.py
from:

python:
'playcount': infos['playcount'],

to:

python:
'playcount': infos.get('playcount', 0),

fixed it for me.

Tip:
Make sure the name of folder is exactly the same as the addon_id as stated in the addon.xml before zipping it up.
Otherwise you can end up with a bunch of similarly named folders each containing (earlier) full versions of the addon.
