Release Arctic: Zephyr

One inquiry about the much awaited AZ-Leia release: Are you planning adding skin support for the upcoming Kodi "Gaming" features? That would be great!

Thx & looking forward to future AZ release Smile

I think it will need to do that to get released for leia.

Thanks!

Have you really created a library and scanned your local files into it?

Is there any way I can create a menu item or something that show my currently resumable movies and tv-shows?

Hello Guys,

Is it possible to move the clear logo on the top right side of the sceen ? (and not in the middle, cause it hides the fanart wallpaper).

Thks.

Hi, thanks for this fantastic skin! It's really beautiful. I hope for it, that it will be updated for Leia as well! The Gaming Support will be awesome! For now, in latest Leia RC1, the Skin won't change to dark mode, sadly. It's a deal breaker, for me.. Dark mode was epic..

I am able to use it with latest Kodi Leia RC1 and latest version of Arctic: Zephyr on github

Is lyrics support working in Arctic Zephyr atm? When I play a music file, it displays the artwork, but no lyrics!

The skin has been updated for Leia on Oct 7, but its not distributed yet. The following steps got it working for me on Leia RC1:
  1. Go to https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.zephyr
  2. Choose Clone or download > Download ZIP
  3. Install the zip file (wiki entry)
  4. Switch skin (wiki entry)

Thanks, but my box is not on Leia yet - it still runs Krypton. Would it still make sense to install the latest Arctic Zephyr?

It doesn't. Krypton branch saw its last update on June 24th, and besides the October 7th commit that introduces Leia support, there's no difference between the master and Krypton branch.

Right, so there would not much point in upgrading then. Going back to my original question, does the current version of Arctic Zephyr support lyrics display while playing music files? According to older posts, it used to be there in the past, but I can't see any way of bringing them up on screen...

It should work, if you have the CULyric plugin enabled. Select a song from your library and press "Esc" a number of times, until you get into the fullscreen playback screen (don't know what else to call it).

Such an awesome skin Smile

Any chances for Leia support at release time?

Anyone using the master branch on Leia missing subtitle options as well? I wanted to sync subs yesterday and at that point it struck me there were no options beyond downloading/enabling/disabling subtitles in the playback UI.

Yes, I've noticed this also.    As mentioned I'm only seeing the downloading/enabling/disabling options, nothing more.

But with this being a work in progress I expect to see issue.   Another issue I've noticed is, I normally set the settings and Weather widget as showing the Weather Fanart but thats not working so far either.

 Its a lot easier to set 2 keys in your keyboard for this job, no matter what skin you use.
There is an addon to help you identify and map keys to do things you want,
using this addon you will end up with having a xml file inside userdata > keymaps,

or, you can manually create and put a file in there that should look like this:

xml:
<keymap>

    <fullscreenvideo>
        <keyboard>
            <key id="61573">subtitledelayminus</key>
            <key id="61572">subtitledelayplus</key>
        </keyboard>
    </fullscreenvideo>

</keymap>

2 things to keep in mind: First, this function only affects remote control keys during video playback, which is useful in case you have a keyboard with just a few keys, in my case i am using the page up / page down keys to do the job
When not in full screen video playbacl, the keys on the remote work as intended ( page up / down )
Second, you need to identify the code your remote sends when pressing the keys, ( in my case 61573 and 61572 ) - those numbers are different for different remotes and different keys. Me personally i used the key map addon to identify those numbers.
