v18 Grid for Leia
Has anyone had issues with the subtitle language option not showing up in the player menu? When watching a video there is no option to adjust between already embedded subtitle streams. It used to be in the audio menu of the player. Does anyone have an idea of what code needs to be changed so the option shows up again?

I think that's more than a simple fix, given that there was a fairly significant change in Leia around the OSD & subtitles, after Jeroen paused/ended work on the Leia version.

The skin being marked incompatible was done for a reason, after all. There's almost a year of skinning engine changes since the last commit on GRiD.

Hi. I have the same problem. Kodi updated on my Nvidia Shield and ruined my lovely Grid setup.
Not only Leia has reverted to its default skin but for some reason, subs don't work either too.
It shows that they are enabled but they are not displayed...

Can someone help? Thx

I wrote „post(s)“ because there you find the workaround to activate the skin under Leia even though the skin isn’t marked compatible. Besides that you can read the discussion about the fact that the skin is not under development at least for the moment.

I decided to not use this skin until it gets some love by a developer. But seemingly no one is able to do that besides @Jeroen. So I jumped back to default estuary before I updated Kodi from Krypton to Leia.

Thx for swift reply buddy, much appreciated. Unfortunately, Nvidia Shield updated before I had read about this and it ruined my subs. They just won’t show up. Any ideas on how to fix that without having to reset all my settings?

Still sticking with this theme for now. Hopefully development might pick up with an update now that Leia is final.

If I want a skin under active development, does any one know of a skin like this? Clean, simple, professional looking. No fancy Hollywood effects or trying to look like a spaceship etc.

Although I love Grid, I think I'll wait for a couple of months in the hope it gets updated.
Gave Pellucid a try last night as I don't like the default skin or the other confluence type skins and was pleasantly surprised.
It's not Grid of course, nor does it have the customizability when settings view types but I think it will do for now.

If only I could change it's font and fix the issue with the subtitles not showing. The subtitle problem is major for me and it happens with all skins.

Hi guys,

I have built a zip file with the edited addon.xml to fix the installation.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/8x68pcjpzpozbo...5.zip?dl=0

Use it at your own risk.

You can install it directly through Kodi with the zip file option for addons.

Updated addon.xml seems to have worked. haven't noticed anything else not working with v18

A little off-topic - does anyone know how this skin defaults the delete confirmation to 'Yes'?

Yes, first of all you should learn to read.

Then you should raise your eyes and try to read the posts before yours. Solution is there. You just need to read.

Thanks for the friedly answer. I can read, but it doesnʼt help. I find here a link to download a file. Thatʼs all.

OK. I know that it is not true the GRID can be installed the normal way. Iʼll wait till it is ready or release. (Or use another skin.)

It depends on what you understand by "normal way". As far as I know, there are two ways to install GRID, from a repository and from a zip file. Both are normal ways.

Just try to install the zip file you can download above and if you don't like, then uninstall it.

The skin is working great for me.

Just a small question, In my movie and tv shows library a little icon is displayed on the movie/serie cover (top right corner). Is it possible to remove this?

In the tv shows library it's the number of episodes

Thanks for the file jerrak, will give it a go, much appreciated.

On another note, there was no need to give such a response.
Not everyone knows how to install a skin externally, just saying.

Also, does anyone know how to get an icon to show imdb ratings on the movie/tv poster?
