Would it not be more intuitive if the Control Menu appeared at the bottom of the screen rather than the top?

@jurialmunkey Looking forward to this! A:Z has been my go-to for quite some time... There's nothing else imo that strikes the same balance between a clean, intuitive UI and a variety of artwork/addon support options! You're most definitely my favorite skin designer!

That said, you've done some really cool stuff with your Aura skin too! Naturally, I'm thinking of some best of both worlds options now...

A couple things on my personal wish list:
(curious if others agree)

-Ability to choose b/w a consistent black/white throughout based on theme OR the expanded selection of colors/gradients based on poster art for highlights and selection boxes, etc like aura (has a substantial effect on the overall experience imo..I found this to be a pleasant surprise). Possibly those fanart color/fx treatment choices as well (I'm assuming this is just addon support?)

-Choice between traditional a:z style translucent OSD menu panels, and something like the slick gradient style found in aura (I also dig the larger poster art here too!)

-A dark/light theme selection option based on time of day!

-Possibly a choice between icon and text based buttons in the menus and video info screens (Love the simplicity of a:z in that regard)

I've no doubt this release is gonna be amazing regardless, but wanted to see if you were open to these suggestions, and provide some fuel for discussion. Everything's looking super clean so far!

Thanks for your hard work.
Wonderful! I await the release of this skin.
Congratulations for the work.
This is looking great. After seeing all the requests, I really hope you keep it simple like the original A:Z. If people want 60 widgets on their homescreen they should check out the Titan skin. Anyway, keep up the good work. Really appreciate the time and effort you spend on these beautiful themes.

I think that as well.

But he said he's trying out a few things in an earlier post:

I'm not sure yet - trying a few different things out. I want to keep visible buttons, but I also like the possibility of navigating left/right in the infoscreen. I definitely want to try to figure out a way to keep that episode info dialog though - as I also really like it!
Not sure where to ask this? But what GUI sound best suits A:Z do you think? im Using AppleTV UI Sounds at the moment. Just wanted to know what other users of A:Z were using.

Amber UI is a lot more quiet. I absolutely hate the default sound pack, scrolling through a large list of either music or movies quickly makes Kodi sound like a teenage techno party.

Haha same. It makes my ears bleed. Thanks for the recommendation tho.
Gosh, this looks beyond beautiful! My favourite skin getting an awesome update!

I hope I didn't miss this info anywhere...

Will this be for v18 only, or also for 17?

Leia only. I'm using features not available in krypton.
Arctic Fuse 2 - Alpha now available. Support me on Ko-fi.
@jurialmunkey hats off for the great work on Arctic. I've been using this skin for few years now on all my frontends and I absolutely love it. I can't imagine anything else as I move on to Leia.
To be honest this is the only thing missing that keeps me from upgrading to Leia.

I would ask you to consider one thing as a useful enhancement. In the TV/PVR section in Recordings you only show main title (in the episode list for recordings groupped under series title). Adding subtitle and/or episode # would be a nice enhancement. To be 100% clear - I am not talking about replacing the recording date (this is for sure a keeper), it's adding additional detail.

Thanks for the great work and can't wait to see AZ2 release...

+1
Hi. As many people said before me, this skin is the bees knees. I just want to ask one question. Will you still have an option for browsing movies as a sideways scrolling list with the currently selected movie being on the right with a larger poster (which is my favorite) or will it only be poster wall?

Yeah, it will have a Poster List. Still tweaking it a bit, but this is what it looks like currently:
