Change Chorus default settings
#1
Hi,

I am having an issue with saving Chorus settings globally.

Every time I use a new device or even a new browser Chorus Web Interface loads with the default settings. So I have to customize it again and again. It would be nice to somehow override the defaults on my server.

So my question is: Is there something like a "Chorus default settings file" somewhere on the server which I can manipulate? If yes, where is it stored? I am using kodi 18 on Raspbian. Settings I want to change are for example: Language, Default Player, Main Menue entries.

Thank you in advance

Might be a permissions issue.

Sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to tell me.

My question is if and how I could change the default Chorus settings to have the same web interface on every browser / client which connects to my Kodi server.

Could you please give me a little bit more details on the possible permission issue you mentioned?

Ah I misunderstood. I thought you were having trouble with your settings saving at all. Unfortunately for you, I believe all settings are cookie based and unique to each browser.

I think you are right. All settings that are made in Chorus are stored locally via cookie.

But the first time I open Chorus in a browser there is no local cookie and the values have to be initialized from a default value set somewhere on my kodi server. What I want to do is to change that default values. My problem is I cannot find a corresponding file.

Do you or someone else know where the Chorus defaults are stored on the server?

I know, at least on Mac, that the Chorus2 web server Addon (as a default) is located inside the .app bundle. That would be a good place to start looking.
