I have multiple Kodi devices with a number of different OS's that are all having this issue. I had everything working on a Kodi 18.1 install on a fire stick and then exported the library, set it up to use a MySQL database on the same NAS that's hosting the movies, and then imported the old library. Everything seems to work except for one issue, artwork. Even on the original Kodi install, artwork for several movies is missing (sometimes poster, sometimes fanart, most often both). Setting up other Kodi installs to use the MySQL database results in a lot more movies missing artwork than the original. There seems to be a pattern to which movies are missing artwork since some movies are missing artwork on all nodes, but some nodes have artwork that others don't. It seems like the nodes I set up later are missing a lot more movie artwork than the first ones I set up. The ones I set up last and are missing artwork on almost all of the movies.
If I go and manually change the artwork within the movie's info on one Kodi installation, the artwork loads fine on ALL Kodi installs immediately afterward. That's a hell of a lot of effort to go to in order to refresh the missing artwork, though. I see references to the "Artwork Downloader" add-on, but it's listed as broken now and I can't find an alternative. I'm not sure about deleting the cache since a lot of these are FRESH INSTALLS and shouldn't have corrupt caches to begin with, so I don't see how that'd solve anything.
Any other solutions?
