Solved Television Show library is messed up or missing
#1
So I'm running Kodi on two Nvidia Shield TVs, and am also seeing this problem when accessing the library via Kore.  I use MariaDB on a Linux box running in a docker container.  I've had this setup running for many years, I used to use mysql but switched to MariaDB a few years ago.  My Movies are showing up fine, but when I switch over to TV shows (in the default skin) I see the normal icons across the top (Recently added, In progress, Genres, etc.) and below that is Recently added episodes which has several shows but is out of date.  And that's all I got there.  If I go up to that top bar and select any of those I get to the Videos page, where I see Movies, TV Shows, In progress TV shows, Recently added movies, Recently added episodes, Files, Playlists and Video add-ons.  Selecting "TV Shows" gives me an error that says "Remote Share: Path not found or invalid".  If I go down to Files I get to the list of sources and TV Shows is there and I can browse into it and play shows, but I'm not seeing all the episode info, etc.  It's more like I'm browsing files.  But it's finding them.  Also from those Recently added episodes I can select episodes and play them, and I see the info at the bottom of the screen like resolution, audio type, air date, etc.

I'm not sure when or how it got into this state.  It's been a while since I went to the TV Shows menu, and like I said, Movies has been working fine.  I've cleaned the library and there was no change.  I've tried Export library and chosen Single file, all that does is start dumping images from movies into a network share, and quits after a while saying there was an error on 1 file.  There's no sql data or anything like, just the posters and fan art.

I'm feeling like a total reset of the database might be in order.  I can't recall how long I've been using this database but there's something like 17 xbmc_video databases ranging from xbmc_video58 to xbmc_video116 when I look in MariaDB.

So does anyone have any idea how I might salvage this?  Or should I just start from scratch?

Can you provide a Debug Log which captures and Update Library.

bakidaxaca.kodi (paste)

I had to delete a lot from it because it was too large.  Television scanning starts around line 370.

Removing essential information while keeping log entries that are repeated countless times is not the most logical approach.

Anyway, your database is either corrupted or some upgrade went horribly wrong:
ERROR: SQL: [xbmc_video116] The table does not exist

XBMC..?!? How often have you upgraded?

I did my best just to remove information pertaining to the movie scanning since all those messages were saying no changes were found.

As I said in my initial post, it's been running for years.  Now I use the Shield and so it automatically updates Kodi on a regular basis.  But this database was set up back when I'd install kodi on Ubuntu and have to do some manual configuration of the sound files to get audio routed out of HDMI and dealing with configuring overscan in X windows, fun stuff like that.  Maybe nine years or more.

I think I'll drop the latest tables in MariaDB and restart Kodi and see what happens. I'd rather not lose all my data about what has been watched, but if I need to, maybe it is time for a fresh database.

Normally, doing a Video Library Export is recommended for that, with watched statuses and resume points enabled.
But as your video database integrity may already be compromised, I'm not sure if that is still a good idea.

I dropped the last database and it rebuilt and TV shows are now displaying correctly, however it's not finding the most recent series that I added.

There's several issues I've been wanting to clean up so maybe now is the time.  I think I'll just spend some time purging my collection, rearranging stuff, and then use Media Companion to rescan everything and then start up with a new database.

Thanks for the assistance.
