Release Aura
Hello, Im having problems using this option:

Media Settings -> Videos -> ALL -> Default Selection Action -> Show Information.

Basically, when I click to watch a movie and this ''Show Information'' screen enter IF I immediately click to watch the movie (without waiting all information of this ''Show Information screen'' load) it hangs in Please Wait screen for a few seconds, then a ''Playback failed one or more items failed to play. Check the log for more information about this message.'' appears and then the movie starts on the back but if I click OK for this error screen, i get back to the movies list screen.

But IF I stay in ''Show Information'' screen and WAIT movies by the same director load, similar movies load, after all information load, I can watch the movie normally, without playback issues.

Flesh Kodi 18.2 install with PlexKodiConnect using Nvidia Shield. Everything default, no changes in any menus, only this Show Information and of course script.skin.helper.widgets installed, version 1.0.22 and I tried also marcel 1.0.38 without success.

My internet is 100mbps everthing with wire 1gbps, but for some reason all this information, director movies, similiar movies etc take a few seconds to load.

Log, first with the error e them without the error (I think)

Thanks!

Hello,
I don't know if this is the right place.

I'm using Aura and I like it so much.
However, I set "Movies" and "Tv Shows" sections, but, if there is not any content (no file in those folder so far) the section will be hidden.
So, my question: is it possible to avoid section hidden in case of empty content?
Is it only my case or am I in wrong?

Thanks in advance

What exactly do you mean with "section"? If a widget's library or playlist doesn't have any content it will indeed be hidden since there's nothing to show.

If it's a Menu Item (the ones up top.) I'd assume it'd exist but not show any widgets due to what I just mentioned above.

I hope this answers your question.

How can I access the in-bluray menu? Aura seems to only show the player menu. Some Skins have implemented a Menu option within the players menu that opens the bluray menu.
I use a keyboard.xml for my remote with
<VideoMenu>
<menu>PlayerControl(ShowVideoMenu)</menu></VideoMenu>
which usually also works but not always.
Many thanks.

Also there is a bug after stoping bluray playback and return to the movie library.
The title of the movie then lists as "show bluray menu". It only resets to the correct title if you go back to home. This is not Aura specific though.

Hi, i was curious if there was a way to remove the Aurora Splash screen in the beginning during startup? So that it just showed the Kodi Splash and went to the Main Aurora Screen. I'm using an Amazon Fire TV. Thanks!

Hey mate I’ve loving this skin so far, I’ve got it all customised to my liking there’s just one small problem, I’m using Kodi 18.2 on the Xbox one

When I find a movie and then choose the information option which takes you to a new page which then shows you info about the movie like actors etc top right I get a extended info script error then it disappears, this doesn’t bug me but a few times now it’s stopped me from getting to the info page to change a movie thumbnail for example, I click info, it flashes the info page quickly then goes back to where I just was followed up by a error top right

Do you know anyway to fix this ?

Thank you

- Tyler

I wanted to make it an option in Horizon, but the changes became too complex so it became much easier to manage as a separate skin. It's basically a more minimalist, mouse-centric version (though it might diverge more as time goes on).

@Blurayx - Added an option to hide the submenu widget. However, there isn't currently any alternative method to display the submenu - still trying to think of solution. The "save changes" in the customisation screen isn't actually necessary any more. You can just press back now. Fixed the navigation issue nonetheless. Also removed the text and changed the button to say "Close" rather than "Save".

@sualfred - Thanks! Big Grin

@Zombi - Thanks! Arial fontset added.

Hi, thank for the reply.
Yes, I meant exactly what you replied.
So, isn't there no way to show section (top menu item) if it is empty? I'd like to "force" show section even if no content inside it.
I mean: I would like to see "Movies" section even if I have no movie in the folder.

Thanks in advance

Skinshortcuts auto hides empty library paths. See here:
https://github.com/BigNoid/script.skinsh...ditions.md

This feature cannot be disabled.

If you want to have a movie section when you have no library content, then you need to change the action of the shortcut. Point the action of the movies shortcut to something like video addons instead.
Arctic Fuse 2 - Alpha now available. Support me on Ko-fi.

If I watch a trailer of a movie it shows a squared frame with a logo on top of it in the middle of the trailer. Is this intended behaviour?
I prefer to only see the trailer. If you don't know what i mean I could post a screenshot.

Thanks!

I would like to ask if RSS feed is available for the Aura skin. I have tried to activate RSS but it does not work for me.

Windows 10 & Kodi 18.3, tried updating my old Kodi repo copy of Aura, which worked until I restarted and the only message I get is:
NOTICE:   load skin from: C:\Users\huntk\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\skin.aura (version: 1.0.5)
As the splash screen loads and dumps out.  I needed to revert to the older Kodi repo copy to fix.  Is there any known issues with 18.3?
