Nope, doesn't sound like you are using this plugin... or service since Locast is a non-profit that only accepts donations; which are not solicited.
Locast review: free local programming with a catch
If you’re not a member, expect to be interrupted
Barbara Krasnoff Feb 25, 2019

The FAQ also cites Locast’s ability to charge a fee “necessary to defray the actual and reasonable costs” of providing the service. Technically, Locast doesn’t charge a fee — it asks for contributions of at least $5 per month. You do have the choice of not paying that “contribution” — but if you don’t, you’ll find Locast’s broadcasts practically unwatchable.

Why? Because every 15 minutes, the broadcast is interrupted by a request for the membership contribution. Actually, the broadcast isn’t just interrupted — it’s completely stopped. After the plea for money is over, you aren’t returned to your program, but bounced back to the programming grid. If you want to continue to watch your show, you have to click on it again — and say goodbye to any dialogue you may have missed in the meantime. (While I didn’t pony up the $5 requested, judging from user comments for the Android app, members do get to watch shows uninterrupted.)

I have established a username/password with Locast and everything works via a web browser.

However, the Kodi add-on fails to authenticate. The username/password is definitely correct -- I have reentered it several times.

Here's a log: https://paste.kodi.tv/averonuzuc.kodi

Any help appreciated.

I don't think so. I can access Locast and ip-api.com just fine from Firefox on the *same* machine!

I can access ip-api.com with curl too.

Now, I'm located in the San Francisco Bay Area but not the city of San Francisco itself. However, other reports suggest that should be okay. Also the error being displayed is "Something went wrong, please check user credentials and try again." and is NOT "We apologize but it appears that you are not currently located in the Designated Market Area to view this content"

Trying to install from Lunatixz Repo and getting error "the dependency on script.module.uepg version 1.06) and then Locast install ends.

This dependency can't be uninstalled because USTVNow is already using it.  Everything was working fine until today, then tried to uninstall/reinstall and unable.  Don't particularly want to uninstall USTVNow in case I screw that up.  Any ideas

I was able to install Locast 1.02 from the Kodi Repo, still can't install Locast 1.04  because of "the dependency on script.module.uepg version 1.06) " which is already installed.  I am also getting the same error as the poster above "Something went wrong, please check user credentials and try again."  I changed the password and am able to login and see video albeit they take about a minute to appear on the website so that should be ok.

Is there a fix for Locast not being able to recognize the uepg is already installed.

Help.  Cannot install Locast.

I just uninstalled Kodi 18.02 and all the profile files to get a fresh start with Kodi 18.03.  Downloaded from Lunatixz beta repository the zip file.  Unzipped the file to install Luinatixz Repo 1.04.  Then click on Locast and get to install and then get the dependency on script.module.uepg version 1.06 error and install stops.

Can't get past this.  Had everything working fine before and then it stopped.

I installed Locast from Kodi Addon repository but during running the Locast addon it said " something is wrong, check user credential." My device has no issue of accessing IP-API.com, and I had log-in and watched the channels successfully when using Locast outside of kodi.

here is the full debug log file:

Could someone please help?

^Same problem here after a fresh install of Kodi 18.3

I am also unable to upgrade from Locast 1.02 to Locast 1.04 (get the UEPG error) but I get the same error as above when using Locast 1.02

It was working fine about a week ago.

Plz read the OP!! Your network is blocking ip-api.com

I'm having the exact same issue as @malch. Invalid credentials. But I've triple checked my login and password, even for capitalization.

I don't really understand where on my system/network I am supposed to check if ip-api.com is unblocked. I turned off Windows 10 firewall. Still got the error. I added ip-api.com to the list of trusted sites in Internet Options/Security. Still got the error.

I even turned on debugging and saved the log file, but it won't let me upload it because it's over 1MB. And paste.kodi.tv tells me it exceeds the maximum length. And all I did was close Kodi, clear the log, open Kodi, open the Locast add-on, get the error, close Kodi. Not sure what else to try. I have no VPN turned on. And Locast opens fine in Firefox on the same computer.

EDIT: I deleted a bunch of lines from the log that were Emby errors. Hopefully it wasn't anything important for this situation. Obviously, I have some other things to fix with Emby... for another day. But it allowed me to upload my log, in case it  helps.

EDIT: I had no idea I had these banned things installed. I went through them from the wiki and I think I have uninstalled them all. Here is the new log:

I don't see any issues in your log that stand out... As for systems blocking ip-api; this can be from your router, vpn, pihole, firewalls anything that filters website requests. I'm assuming you are in a region that locast services? Another issue comes to mind; I believe locast may have recently added signin options using a third-party service like facebook? google? if this is the case your Login must be supplied by the locast service; try setting up a new account directly with them.

Is the Locast addon version 1.04?  How can we update from Locast 1.02 when the UEPG 1.06 error keeps cropping up

v.1.0.2 is available from Kodis repository.

v.1.0.4 is the latest version in my beta repo; however, as you noted it's dependency was not released.
