However, I am going to go deep and say that the most under rated movies are the ones that you have not watched yet.
I have my set up based on random movies in different genres, I sometimes find a movie that contains maybe a favourite actor and also a genre that I like, but I never have seen before, such as Wesley Snipes a 2007 movie called The Contractor

A movie that I have never seen if you mean Hitchcock starring Anthony Hopkins. A lot of good movies from him as a director such as the birds and not forgetting pyscho.

Actually it's the TV series nice'n short, a lot of great story's on par with the first twilight zones with actors before their rise to infamy.

Critics are smart and experienced, good-tasting people who have reviewed almost every movie in this world. But films are made not only for them, otherwise movie studios would have gone broke long ago. And the opinions of critics and ordinary viewers sometimes differ greatly.
Equilibrium (2002) - The dramatic fantasy action movie was accused of trying to copy the best films of this genre, although it turned out stupid and too aggressive. But now it is one of the cult films.
