Perhaps we are speaking about different things. What I meant and wanted was to make the rotating background images less opaque. I like the dimmed overlay effect but it is a bit too strong for my taste.

Ok. In that case I really think that at least giving the option for a less dimmed  effect and let people decide would be nice. I am using the yellow theme.
