I can see that it looks like the application logs you in when you start up, or at least it says it does when you open it. That might be just the blurb you mentioned earlier about the nicety of the automatic "welcome back <username> 1" (yes it still does add the 1 after your username) but this might not actually be authenticating your credentials to pluto.tv until you actually highlight and select "Channels/OnDemand/Guide"?
That is where it seems to generate the failure retrieving the channels. I know the credentials are correct as I went to the actual website on a pc and signed in successfully. I went back to kodi and cleared out the credentials, restarted kodi, and then re-added them back in - still got the failed to authenticate.
I hope this is useful to you for troubleshooting, this is what I found while scrolling through logfiles:

Hopefully this can be resolved, this is a nice addon to have as part of the kodi player package
Thanks Lunatixz,
Please submit a full log and enable debugging in both Kodi and the Pluto tv plugin. Click on help in my signature for how-to. Thx
Alright, I'm not sure what you did in the time of my post and just now when I read your reply... but I'm happy at what I found.
I was just in the process of following the instructions you requested when I noticed 1 new update available. 1.1.3 > 1.1.4
So, before I created the logs I figured I would try the updated version first. Once updated and fired up, I went to "Channels" and there loaded up the channel lineups again.
Thanks for whatever changes you made with the new version, fantastic job looks like the addon is working again!
Well, bummer. Yesterday after the 1.1.4 update was installed, I mentioned the addon was working great again. I watched a few shows and tried out a bunch of different channels to make sure everything was working and had no problems. I came in this morning and loaded up whatever show was on the travel channel and it played fine. When the show ended, the channel stopped playing and pluto threw up the same message as it was doing before when I was on 1.1.3.
Same thing has started again where the addon will load up, greet you, then show the "Channels/OnDemand/Guide" categories. When I select the channels category, I get the "pluto.tv error - please check the logs" message again.
Scratching my head as nothing was changed from yesterday to this morning. I turned on debug in the system and in pluto, restarted and captured the log here:
https://paste.kodi.tv/firavejeku.kodi
Looks like the same errors that were showing up in my last post. Man, I wish I knew what to look for to help out. I hope you can decipher anything out of this log that will help you troubleshoot, I'll give you any more information that I can if you need.
Thanks again for looking into this.
The addon errors start at around line 1075. After the restart, I went directly to the pluto addon, opened the interface, selected "channels" - got the error and logged the comments.
Next, I went to "ondemand" where it did display the categories where I selected the first one "featured" - got the error and logged the comments.
Last, I went to "guide" - got the error and logged the comments.
