v18 Grid for Leia

Since I couldn't find an alternative skin which looks this good, I will try to maintain this project. I won't include new features, but if there is a bug I will try to fix it.
I have published a new version, with the addon file fixed in it. So it should work on v18.

If anyone wants to contribute I will be very happy with it. I won't have much time for a few weeks now, but if you do a PR I will have a look at it (as I saw in jeroenpardon's repo PRs are also not merged).

The new version is here: https://github.com/radokristof/skin.grid...ag/2.3.5.1

The repo itself: https://github.com/radokristof/skin.grid

Really great news. I've been running v17 of Kodi and might finally take the leap to v18, so any maintenance to get it running on current versions of Kodi is awesome. Thanks for this.

I'm curious how well Grid runs on v19 (and if there have been any major skinning changes that will break it). Jeoren really is a master at design, and no other skins come close to this one in terms of simplicity/beauty/function so I hope that Grid/ReFocus can continue on.

I will try on v19 soon on my test system that how it works...

Just wanted to post on here that there is an update to the script.grab.fanart dependency for this skin. I just recently updated and pushed a python3 compatible version of that addon. It's in the Leia repo now and will be good for future versions of Kodi that only support Python 3. Update the version in the addon.xml file to 0.15.1. Kodi should update automatically to the newest version but for new installs going forward this will get you the most compatible version (especially when on a Python3 build).

Thanks for letting me know. I saw that you forked my repo. If you have spare time I welcome PRs!

You're welcome! For everyone: I don't really have time to implement new things into this skin, I just want to make sure to support this on newer versions as well (all current functions and features included).

Thanks for picking up the torch! Any chance of fixing the issue with TV season posters not showing up? Right now, each season shows the same poster.

Thanks for letting me know this.
Based on that solution I have corrected it in my repo and published a new version which contains this and a few other improvements:

https://github.com/radokristof/skin.grid.../tag/2.3.6

If someone know any other improvements/fixes which has been posted on this forum before, please let me know and I will include them in my repo.

I did a quick test on Kodi 19, to see if I can get it running. Installed without problem and seems to be working as it should. I couldn't test most of the features, but I don't think that much will change now in skins (lots of things changed in v18).

Thanks for noticing me, somehow I didn't get an email notification about this. Or maybe just missed it... Thanks, LGTM!

Hello everyone! Thanks so much for keeping this skin alive!

I'm having a small issue though, which might be a known bug. Or not a bug at all and just something screwy on my end. The thing is, I don't seem to be able to choose subtitles when playing videos. If I open the context menu while playing a video containing embedded subtitles and press the "subtitles" button, all I get are the following options in the subtitles sub-menu:

[Subtitles]
[..]
[Get Subtitles]
[Subtitle Offset]
[Enable Subtitles]
[3D]

Pressing the [Subtitles] button in the sub-menu only moves the item selection down one step to highlight the [..] button. Pressing the [..] button returns me to the main context menu. I think there should be a list of available subtitles somewhere in this menu and a "browse for subtitle" button for picking external subtitles. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or is it just me?

I'm running Grid v2.3.6 on Kodi 18.4 on Android TV v8.0.1 (nVidia Shield).
