Try updating to script.module.metadatautils 1.0.27 from marcelveldt's Beta Repository. You may also need to clear simplecache by deleting the .db file it creates inside addon_data, but beware that it often takes awhile for ratings to show up for the first time after clearing the cache file.

In between IMDB ratings are back. Only TVDb is missing now, except two shows.

It shouldn't be... I've noticed some inconsistent results coming back from OMDb lately, though. Do you have a personal OMDb key input into script.module.metadatautils? The default key included with the add-on is a free key, so will quit working after 1000 requests in a day, from all users. I'd think that'll run out pretty quickly.   

Just played around with OMDB API website.
TVDb ratings have nothing to do with OMDB API.
OMDB gives Metacritic, Rotten and IMDB ratings.
TMDB gives their rating for movies via TMDB API key (set up in script.module.metadatautils, too).

But what to get TVDB rating for shows?
There is no API key to set anywhere. When using the TVDB scraper the rating is shown.

Could this have something to do with broken TVDB API?
I know that the scraper is fixed. Maybe skin.helper.service is not fixed?

Can someone please delete his/her simplecache.db and check if TVDB ratings reappear for shows not scraped with TVDB?

PS: State of my shows (ended, continuing) is missing, too. Don't know where this information is from.
A single show (scraped with TVDB) has this information.

SkinHelper is currently unmaintained. It is highly likely that it will be broken during the transition to Python 3 for Matrix. It is likely to break even if you stay on Leia, as many of its module dependencies will be updated to Python 3 compatible versions. Even if the modules are Python 2/3 compatible, there are often changes in methods and so things break.

Without a maintainer, SkinHelper is definitely nearing its end of life and I'll be looking to remove it and replace completely with my TMDbHelper in a coming update.

Dumb question... but I can't seem to get the studio icons displaying for movies and TV shows - they just appear as text.
I have the icon pack downloaded... the icons are enabled...  and they seem to show up OK with other skins.
Is there anything stupid I have forgotten to do? Or is there some kind of cache I need to clear?
Skin is amazing by the way. Really stellar work!

Star rating is the scraped rating.

Any rating next to an icon is supplied by skinhelper. If skinhelper gets a tmdb rating it will show next to tmdb logo. If skinhelper gets a tvdb rating it will be shown next to the tvdb logo. There's no preference in ratings, the skin simply displays them if skinhelper sets them.

Where are you expecting them to display?

Studio icons only show in the studios section of the library. I don't display them anywhere else (eg not in info dialog if that's what you're expecting - this isn't a "bling" skin, it is intentionally minimalist.)

It's not a big deal, but figured I'd ask anyways: is there a way to get a "Continue Watching" widget that's populated with partially watched episodes if they exist, and if not, the next unwatched episode after the last watched episode? Like on netflix?

As skin helper provides TMDB ratings for shows, you could replace (not woking) TVDB ratings with working TMDB ratings for shows.

I noticed that your skin has missing LPCM Audio flags would it be possible to add them ? also I can not get the power menu to work it used to but now it does not display, any help on that

I am having the same issue. I did a quick google search for Non-Existent Control 3014 and it seems like the same error was reported in the Rapier skin (which I don't use) and the skinner has resolved the issue:
