playback will not work in the addon for any video, but all videos work perfectly in web browser, so pretty sure it is not geo-blocked. am i the only one having this problem?

I just tested on my browser and then kodi on the same machine, both pull the same dailymotion cdn server in Singapore for me as I am closer to that and always consistently pulls videos from that region
https://proxy-04.sg1.dailymotion.com/In your case, the addon is pulling the dailymotion cdn server from different regions for each video and then getting a 403 error

spain..pretty sure i get exactly the same result using LibreElec on an Intel Z83F too, so I didnt think it was os related.. i´ll try grab a log from that asap if you´d be kind enough to have a quick look. No there is no browser it was chrome on pc from the same connection. Just tried the addon now on this windows laptop and it does work, loads all videos instantly, just fine...so now i am confused. I´ll check it on the Intel box again, grab the log, and let you know. Thanks for your time, appreciated.

It certainly seems that way as you are being provided playback url from CDN server in Italy it looks like and getting a HTTP403 error

guess im not the only one getting 403 errors then..even though it does seem to work fine for me with kodi on pc at the moment, I get the same error with LibreElec and Alexelec with Krypton or Leia, they all give the 403.

Okay, so for @Derthona83 it does not work on Android Phone and for @Samoozle it does not work on LE or AE.

No worries, thanks for taking the time to look into this, although it doesnt make sense how it works perfectly on pc from the same internet connection but not on LE, if it were location wouldn´t it affect both ? Everything worked perfectly before the 2.4.0 update. Thanks again.

The 2.4.0 update is where Dailymotion stopped providing mp4 links and moved to HLS streams, and so the code had to be adjusted for that.
Any chance you can install Fiddler web debugger on pc and capture your browser session for the particular video that was failing in LE?

yeah, its def not a location issue. Up until Dailymotion stopped providing mp4 links and moved to HLS streams it was perfect, the 2.4.0 update did not bring it back and it hasnt worked since in LE. I will install Fiddler and get you that browser session as requested.

From the logs, it does indicate a Location related issue. The addon tries to extract mp4 urls and plays them, looks like in your location mp4 url though presented is not available. The fiddler capture provided by @Samoozle indicates that it is using m3u8 url instead.
Can you guys please test this version and see if it works for you and report back? This one uses m3u8 url as the final url if mp4 not available
