So it may work with some file if hosted from A1.phobos.apple.com? Either way i can not change where the files are hosted, I could make a specail streaming playlist for linux/ android if A1.phobos.apple.com does work for you. What i see as a cause is the same issue i have with nivida shield where the Upgrade request is bad on the second or third call to the server to get another chunk of the video. And this i do not have any control over and con only recommend downloading the videos as my script handles those request and seem to work fine. Sorry I am not much help. 

Do you know what is the cause for "DEBUG: CMMALRenderer::RenderUpdate - MMAL: No buffer to update clear:0 flags:0 alpha:255 source:0 omvbnil) mmalnil)" ?
I tried to disable MMAL renderer and enable OMXPlayer instead, but it is not better.

Hi, I've found another small bug: when resuming a video after the screensaver was enabled during pause the subtitles are gone and need to be re-enabled again. Not a biggie, just a heads up.

just for giggles can you uninstall and go to addon folder be sure it is deleted and in your profile addon data folder and do a clean install?

Giggled it, same issue , for the record I'm on version 1.0.13.

If this does not work I will have to drop support for Android and maybe linux as @bam80 streaming is not working on that platform either, the users will have to download the videos else where and stream locally.

from libCURL if we use CURL_HTTP_VERSION_2_0 (what we do in kodi):

> Attempt HTTP 2 requests. libcurl will fall back to HTTP 1.1 if HTTP 2 can't be negotiated with the server. (Added in 7.33.0)

Interestingly the HEAD requests (for MIME retrieval) doesn't fail, only the GET request do.
Can you try to pass the mime-type of your file (using listItem property) ? Then the first curl command should be the GET request, and it may work / fallback to 1.1)

Trying to overwrite Upgrade / HTTP2-Settings seem to have no effect, so you can remove them from your Header list.

For streaming remotely yes Nvidia is not supported but you can download to a drive and playback a locally should be no issues using the app and the Nvidia shield this is how i use it.

I just installed this for the first time. Couple things that don't work.

1 - I can't select a NFS location, I get an error: "Make sure the the selected folder is writable and the folder name is valid". I know that sounds obvious but this isn't the case as I can connect to the that NFS share, create folders etc outside of this plugin without, but I can get to the same share as SMB and it works. The kodi logs show an error when trying to connect to a NFS share //x.x.x.x/export/Media/screensaver

3 - I have downloaded the screensavers from the older version of the aerial plugin some years ago, which doesn't seem to change anything. If I set to use the folder that's empty or the older downloads I get an error when the videos try to load: "Looks like your trying to use local videos. Your "Time Of Day" select is "any". The locations you have enabled do not have any "day" time videos. Please enable more locations , change your "Time Of Day" settings or download more videos.

The third one I'm assuming is fixable if I could download the correct videos. 

What the heck am I missing?

I can't download the videos, so I'm assuming that is why that error occurred if I leave it to streaming yes it works though I'd rather be playing back local.

That being said, I'm going to pull the http links out and download them manually and see if I can point the app at that directory to see if it works; though I shouldn't have to and am curious as why that's failing?

Ok so I downloaded all the videos listed in the configs, and the time of day option no matter what I set it to gives me the same error that there's no videos available for that time, as a result it will not play any downloaded video. 

What am I missing?
