Which Aeon MQ Ver. are you using?  Do you have discart enabled in the Fullscreen Skin Visualizer Settings?
Aeon MQ 8. Correct Disc Art is on "Always Visible"
OK.  I'm using MQ 8 Multi-MOD, which has had some fixes to show discart "When Visible".

The "cdart.png" for album art most likely comes from the add-on "cdART Manager" which was developed long before Kodi standardised the artwork naming convention for the music library. This is quite possibly why it was/is named as such in MediaElch, as that was the closest thing to a "standard" we had at the time.

Since Artwork Beef (Unlike Artwork Downloader) supports music artwork downloading / sorting and support for the "Artist Information" folder, cdART Manager is now essentially obsolete. The other bonus, is that Artwork Beef doesn't hog the UI like cdART Manager, so the user can do other things with Kodi, while waiting for artwork updates for music library content.

The only negative with the Leia music library changes I've noticed, and I don't think this is skin-related, as I've seen this in multiple skins that support the new "discart.png" naming scheme for music, is that discart.png files located in "Disc subfolders" no longer seems to work as before. Kodi only shows the discart.png from the "Disc 1" subfolder, and not from the "Disc 2", etc. subfolders, for multi-disc albums stored in multi-disc subfolders.

I wonder if @bugwelle is aware of the problem.
I hadn't gone back to this in a while. I tried changing disc art files discart.png (made the change on my media elch). I have them placed in the album folder like the document states. I've made marks on those files to make sure they are not being read from the internet. The .nfo seems to be working too. The album cover does work, but not the disc. I have move all the setting around to make sure it's reading locally and not internet. Still no success... I'm on Aeon MQ.

Do you have any ideas? Maybe I have a setting wrong?
I've had trouble displaying discart.png on Aeon MQ as well.  I've continued to use cdart.png and have no troubles.

I renamed a few cdart.png files to discart.png and, as anticipated, they displayed fine. I may rename all of my files as a result (being lazy).

Good post @gibxxi, I stopped using cdART awhile ago.

It should. Can you raise it in Music forum and maybe @black_eagle might be able to help as he has been working on box sets which uses your subfolder structure and he might know what the issue is.

Dan / Gib.

I just did an additional test. I tried with movies. There I had disc.png. I put a mark on the cover and disc art. Just like with the music, the cover is being read locally and the disc art is being fed online. I also tried changing the name to discart.png. And nothing.

I don't think i have multiple disc subfolders. In music is Artist/album/ and in there all the songs and content files. In movies is movies/name of movie/ isos and content files.

It's simply not working.

Will do, thanks for the advice. Ironically, just found (and was reading) the library box sets thread. May make a comment there as to how I set my folder-naming for multi-disk albums / sets.

Karellen, do you think I'm doing something wrong or local custom disc art is not a possibility on Aeon MQ 8?

I think you are doing something wrong. But I don't know what.

It is not just a matter of changing the name from cdart to discart.png, you also have to reload the new image after the name change. How are you doing that?

I made a new folder with a single movie with arts marked, I load that one and then change it, deleted and load the folder again.

Same with music. And mind the poster art and album art do read locally, the disc art won't.

All arts in the MQ9 skin is getting via script skin helper service, including disc art.

I am not familiar with the script, so best that Wanilton explain how Aeon MQ handles discart.

But have you added discart to your advancedsettings.xml file as detailed on the wiki page I gave you?

Ok. First it is discart, not disc art. I want to make sure you have that right in case you have also named the file disc art.png which is wrong.

Provide the following...
1. Screenshot of a movie folder so I can see all the contents of the folder
2. A Debug Log which captures you scanning the movie into the library
3. If you go to Choose Art can you see any artwork attached? The image below is from another skin, but should work the same.
