Ill look into atmos a bit more
when I was first looking into the formats, I was using NZ login that has reduced qualities (due to covid)
So I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find the flag for Atmos

Currently HDR10 and Dolby Vision is supported.

I'd recommend their app or website to get the same feel
I'm using what Kodi provides me (plugin folders).

Half the effort of add-ons is "translating" a custom interface (usually side scrolling) into a list / folder structure.

It also keeps the feel consistent via the whole of kodi.

Also able to get Atmos on Netflix addon on the 4k Fire Stick. Problem with the Stick is that the Netflix addon stutters (known issue), making it unwatchable. I haven't really tried the Disney+ addon yet on the Stick yet.

This adds Dolby Atmos support

Can be enabled in add-on settings.
It required both L1 Android Device and H265 enabled

Note: I'm not sure how Kodi handles Atmos - so may not work?
The playlist definitely has atmos audio streams in it (and DD+ and 2.0 AAC)

Be interested to hear how it goes for you (try Kodi 19 nightly if 18 doesn't work)
Lion King remake has Atmos for testing.

Now we have to wait for InputStream to update on Leia so it works properly on the Shield.

In the meantime I can install Matrix on my 4k Stick and see if it works.

It works...but Matrix is just so buggy on the 4k stick it's not really usable- takes a long time to buffer initially also every time I try to skip forward Kodi crashes. lol

Hopefully the Leia version on the Shield (once InputStream is updated) will be more stable. I might actually have a reason to get a Shield tube for Dolby Vision now. 

One interesting thing is that it says "16 channels" for the Atmos track.

I would but there are a few things that makes using Kodi addon better:

Frame rate and resolution matching
Better Navigation
Trakt integration
Atmos (currently Atmos isn’t working for a lot of people with 2015 and 2017 Shields, it was before, not now for some reason).

Both my Shields don’t do Dolby Vision so I can’t speak to that.

Yup. Check out the Netflix and Amazon app features for ideas. They allow you to integrate movies/shows with your own library. Also, the Netflix addon has “up next” integration. Up Next is one of the better addons that lets you roll right into the next episode.

Still can’t figure out why some of us lost Atmos support on the official D+ app, while others still have it.

My bedroom TV doesn’t have Dolby Vision support, but my living room TV does so Shield Tube is an option for me. I hate paying for it tho because Nvidia could have easily added DV support to the 2015/2017 devices, there really is no difference at all between the newer and older models.

I notice if I login with USA VPN, I get full 4k, atmos etc.
But anywhere else (europe, NZ / AU) get the "budget" selection.

I live in the US. Apparently it seems to be only the 2015/2017 Shields suffering with this problem, and even then it appears to be random. If I use my 4k Fire Stick I get Atmos no problem, and it’s the same exact app, down to the version #.

Stupid question, but how can I tell if I get 4k using above method?

It will show the resolutions when you select quality.
Remember: still need a L1 Android device (otherwise max is always 720)

Only need to do initial login with US IP.
From then on you get the better quality.
But, it may revert back when auth token refreshes (not sure)

I'm not sure if it would be a popular change or not, but I think it would be good to have the add-on automatically go to select profile when you first open it.
