Is it possible to add the pilot episode to the Series Episode List
#1
Hi everybody, Im not only new here Im also new in the World of Kodi. I watched some videos to learn the basics of the Media Center Things but now I ended up with no idea.
I started to setup my movies and series that Kodi scans them and get the Infos from the Movie DB. This works perfectly fine so far, but some Series have a Pilot epsiode that is in movie length and they are not part of the official epsode lists of the series. But I dont want to search in the movies if there is a pilot available for the series that i want to start watching.
So is there a way with or without addons to attach this pilots to detected Episode List of a Series?

I hope I explained my situation understandable. By any questions I try to explain more in Detail so that you can help me better.
Have a nice Day and sty safe Smile

Best regards

Linking movies to TV shows (wiki) on the wiki I think should cover what you need?

Not specifically for pilot movies, but also more generally for movies associated with specific TV shows.

Sometimes these are present under Specials in season listing. I would start there.

Yes, as LongMan says it would probably be in Specials, usually S00E01. It would be helpful if you gave us an example of a series you are looking to add.

Hi,
thank you for your fast reply.

@DarrenHill  I will read this entry and check if its nearly what I want. Thank you.

@FXB78  Im actually testing how to work with Kodi so I just use the little Series of Knight Rider (2008). It only have 1 Season with 17 episodes but also a Pilot movie with double episode length. I have this "episode" also in the same folder named with S01E00 but Kodi didnt even show this episode at the generated Episode List. I try to rename it like you said into S00E01 maybe this will fix the problem as well. Thank you also for your time Smile

TMDB has the pilot listed as a special, so renaming it S00E01 should indeed pull it through, see https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/15655-knig...r/season/0

Yeah thanks alot. This totaly fix the Problem with the Pilot movies.
But I also have TV Shows with sidemovies attaching to the Series like at Stargate for example. So I will read the wiki entry for refering movies to series for sure as well to finaly complete the experience while watching those TV Shows.

Its awesome I have installed and tested Kodi today for the first time but I actually love it already. Its a whole new Level of experience to watch your movies and TV Shows like that. Especialy because i want to use Raspi with an external HDD to turn my dump TV into a highclass Smart TV.

Best wishes

IIRC the Stargate movies are the original 1994 movie, then Ark of Truth and Continuum.

You can add the movies as follows:
Stargate SG-1 S01E01- Stargate (1994)
Stargate SG-1 S10E21- Ark of Truth
Stargate SG-1 S10E22- Continuum

The existing S01E01 and S01E02 episodes are a two part episode. If you have them ripped as a single episode, then rename it to Stargate SG-1 S01E02 and you can add the original movie as the first episode.
