First, split movies and concerts in 2 or more folders, now in Kodi, use smartplaylist option in Kodi and create one for movies another for the concerts, based on the path for the folders.

Settings submenu, choose Customize main menu item, now use replace function to replace the movies default item function item with your the movie smartplaylist based on the path, same for the concert, use replace function, and use the concert smartplaylist.

Rename the item to Movies or Concert after choosing the respective movies and concert playlists.

Remember clone submenu, and done.

please forgive me for some noob questions. I read in the last days thousend of threads, some were very old, i googled, but some questions I did not find, maybe I looked for the wrong keywords.
I am very new to kodi. But I love it, and I love the Aeon MQ 8 Skin.
So I try to ask the questions structured. Maybe some are here wrong - please understand that I did not get it right then.

1.) "AEON MQ 8" and "Aeon MQ 8 Multi-Mod": Is the Multi-Mod an addition to MQ 8? Or is it completely different? I tried to install the add-on over AEON MQ 8 - but this failed.

2.) How can I change the resolution of Kodi or this Skin to 4k? I have only two times 1920x1080. Of course, my box itself, I am using a new "MiBox S 4k", supports this.

3.) If I start a Song under "Music" I get an error upper left corner "Artist Slideshow Update Alert". This is the main reasson for comming here and ask all the questions.  So what can I do here? The Alert write to come to this forum.

I saw the "older" time of AEON MQ 8 from 2019, but found the Multi-Mod with  lot of on time Updates....   and now I am very confused all about these things.

The Multi-Mod is a manual install. You just copy the files from the Multi-Mod into the skin folder.

1. Aeon MQ8 and all the previous MQ versions are created by MarcosQui. Exist mod versions, where the original code is changed by other skinners, like angelinas, latts9923, emiralles, manfeed, scott967 etc).

2. Kodi auto-detect the display resolution. Kodi upscaling the skin textures for 4 or 8K. Aeon MQ 9 is the first skin by MarcosQui where the textures are 4K native.

Hello I have a shield and kodi leia installed with aeon mq8
all work perfectly but I wanted to have my CDs on them,
I also activated the lyrics sometimes they are synchronized sometimes not I think it's normal.
My concern is that I can't have a plain background and the lyrics are almost illegible,
suddenly I would like to repair artistshow but I can not achieve anything,
how to do thank you

Friends, can I install round language flags icons without installing multi mod? I don't get it - like I turned on the add - in-but the flags don't appear at all.

Aeon MQ8 used only text to audio and subtitles.

You need a skin mod version for using the flag images.

Hello, I've been enjoying this skin for several months and it's been great, thank you. I'm wondering if there's a way to control lights on start/stop/pause/play similar to https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=313197 I was using that addon until it broke and really miss it. If you have such a feature already, I can't find it in settings. Tia

Repo is now only for Kodi Matrix addons (python 3 only), necessary to new MQ9 skin.

Yes, have the option, look in customizing the main menu, go to videos item, check the options, is possible to configure one or multiples images.


the "ok" button is greyed out to look for an image! any help please?
