hi,

since mythtv is a client/server application, i was wondering if anyone has performed an in-depth analysis of whether it would be possible to use xbmc as the front end as a client. meaning, no use of smb/other remote fs but rather replacing their client while keeping the same server back-end.

i think you should take a look at this project:
media portal

this is a new project that frodo is leading.
it is based on some xbmc code, and since frodo is leading this project, the integration should be simpler.
