Hi,

Is it possible to view the list of last played items in command line in linux? i.e is the list of last played items in a text file somewhere on my system, or is it in some form of database?

Best Regards
Patric

In settings use CustomPath, on the selected location you'll have a json text file with the list of last played items.

Hello... First let me say I really like your Last Played addon.  I do, however, have a couple of questions.

I have 3 installs of Kodi Leia (18.4) in my house, 2 on Android machines and 1 on a Windows PC.  I've installed the addon on all 3 and would like to know if there is a way to hare the list between the 3 installs via my Synology NAS.  I've tried using the Custom Path, but it doesn't appear to work for Library play history.  After browsing the readme file I found that Custom Path is used for "Location of non-library play history. Point all devices to the same location to sync non-library history".  Is there any way to use it for the library play list?  If not, can you tell me where (folder and file name) the library play list is saved on my Windows PC install?  Maybe I can copy it and move it to the other locations when I want to update.  Lastly, is there a way of making the list "infinite".  I'd like to keep my entire play history with dates played.  I know I can extend the list by increasing the number in the Number of Lines field, but I'd like it to keep them all, as I said.

Thanks again for a great addon.  Keep up the good work!! :-)

Thank you, rshanti, for the kind words Smile

The custom patch does exactly what you want, myself and a number of people, have been using like that for a long time.
Put in all devices the network path and file name. Make sure that the file can be accessed by the kodi devices, and that there are no permission issues.
And it works for anything played in kodi, the readme was not correct (now it is Smile I use it exclusively for movies and shows from the kodi library.

One alternative to keep the full history, would be to save the files every month or so.

Hmm... I've tried the Custom patch to a network location that has the rights Kodi needs to write to, but no luck.  I'll investigate permissions today.  In the meantime, can you tell me the default location that your addon uses?  I want to see if I can copy the file and make it seen from my other installs.

Thanks again for your help...

If the custom path is not is not set it will place it on the default addon data directory. This directory is the kodi default and the exact location will depend on the device, operating system, version, etc.
The Kodi documentation defines this.
The file name is "lastPlayed.json".

First, Thanks! for This Addon! Was Looking for something which shows me the last played content, no mather what it was.

Did give it a testrun and enabled "Music" within the Addon settings. But no mather what i try to play (Song from my Music Library within Kodi, radio Stream from the "Radio.de" or "Raute Music" Addon) The Addon just doesnt show it. (Did also have a look in the log bt didnt finde related error messages.)

(No Issues with Videos i played so far. No matter if TV show or Movie.)

Hey! I've been looking for something like this for ages, this looks great!

Is there anyway I could add this via "add source" in file manager though? For those of us stuck on Kodi for Xbox it is quite difficult to add a repository from a .zip file

the add-on used too work great but recently it started to produce an error when I try to delete an entry from the list of watched videos. Specifically the error in log file is hastebin

it is strange that it used to work properly and I have not made an change to Kodi.  Maybe the problem started with the latest add-on update to 6.0.0, if that is the case how can I revert to the previous version?

Using Kodi 18.0

thank you

Please download the lastest version, It's fixed now on 6.0.1

It was caused by the changes I did to make it compatible with Kodi 19

Hello I had v1.2 installed and I just installed v6.0.0 from a zip, but it doesn't appear in my addon list. It stays stuck at v1.2. Should I uninstall then reinstall?
