Hi guys,

I was just wondering if there's any way to enable, in any "generic" capacity , subtitles to be on by default on any media files I open?

By "generic" I suspect kodi, when I select as "default for all media" when playing a file, will try to enable subtitles only if they fit the precise criteria of that file I was viewing at that moment which is unlikely in the future.

As far as I know, Kodi opens available subtitles already by default, be it internal or external subtitles, and regardless of stream settings of internal subtitle streams.

Which "precise criteria" are you referring to? Kodi has subtitle preferences in the GUI settings, and the ON/OFF setting in the OSD which can be applied for all media.
