I have Kodi running on my Windows system and my Android TV. Both share the same video source locations. If I export my Library from Windows, do I need to do that from my Android TV as well? I have not been doing that as I see the files are generated in the video source locations (nfo files, thumbnails); but wasn't sure if it affected the local database unique to each platform.

If you run the export from Windows, then you run the Export from Android, the Android nfo files will overwrite the Windows nfo files. So while you can export from both, you only end up with one nfo file for the movie.

What is it you are trying to achieve? Running an export makes no changes to the library databases.

Thank you, I didn't know they were overwritten. I thought when I choose do not overwrite, existing files were not overwritten.

I was just asking if the export process had to be done on each platform. From your answer, I do not. So indeed, thank you.

Sorry, you are correct. If you choose "do not overwrite" then only titles that have no existing nfo files will be exported.
So if you have some movies and tv shows in one library, but not in the other then choose the "do not overwrite" option to fill in the missing nfo files.
