Default Subtitles
#1
Hello,

I recently discovered that foreign subtitles can be activated in the subtitle menu. This way you get the movie theatre experience. Anything non english is put into subtitles and everything else english is muted. I've noticed 90% of movies on Kodi do not do this in default. You have to select English 2/3, 3/3 etc. Is there a way to make a certain subtitle default? This way when you play the movie you do not have to select subtitles? Any info would be appreciated.

It depends on how the subtitles are tagged in the video file. "Forced" are displayed automatically, as the name suggests. If you are using mkv files, then it is quite easy to check and change.

Check my post here and it should explain how to check and change... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid3078399

I you've played the iso once and selecting the correct subtitle track, then the 2nd time you play that same iso the setting should be remembered, although perhaps iso is different in that regard to mkv, avi, vob, m2ts etc. It the se;ected subtitle is not remembered then that maybe a bug.
