I have Kodi 9.14 installed via LibreELEC.  In this and the previous version, the only add-on available for inputstream.adaptive is the "testing" version, which was already installed. Trying to use that always results in the plugin not being found.  I have tried several times to follow the instructions in this forum and elsewhere, but the required links are simply Not There.

Should I install the latest version of the add-on from Git?  If not, what am I doing wrong?

I was running my distro's version of Release 9.14  No separate plug-ins are available.

I have just plugged in an old USB stick, which upgraded to LibreELEC 10.0.2.  With that, I have no problems whatever arising from inputstream.adaptive.

But my original "spit the dummy" still applies.  Releasing a version with Python3 was a good idea, IF you had waited until some working plug-ins were available.  I am a self-taught programmer, and many end users would rather simply purchase a set-top box to run Kodi.  When they can no longer run ANYTHING, Kodi's name would be "mud."

BTW, have you asked about your problem on the LibreELEC forum as well?

That's the world upside down. The usage of Python-3 in Kodi was announced some 2.5 years ago already. All plug-in developers have had ample time to show some initiative. Apparently some of them couldn't be bothered.

Anything, huh? We'll await whenever that moment comes, and then we'll all pick up new hobbies. My senses tell me, it will still take a while before that happens.

inputstream.adaptive has nothing to do with python2 vs. python 3 - it's a binary (c++) add-on.

Assuming you mean 19.4 here.
LibreELEC runs their own repository for binary add-ons, if you can't see what you want there then speak to them about it.

If you're referring to 'inputstream.adaptive.testing' that is an unofficial fork made available through Matt Huisman/SlyGuy repository. Add-ons won't use that unless specifically instructed to. Btw it's deprecated now anyway.

'Contempt' would be expecting that this forum is some sort of helpdesk for a paid service. No-one is paid to contribute to Kodi. Users and developers give up their free time to do this. Show some gratitude.
I understand these posts are written out of frustration and not being able to find an answer to your problem, but writing inflammatory remarks towards the community isn't going to get you what you want.

So am I. Perhaps think about adjusting your attitude and maybe you can also contribute to make things better.
