Kodi exiting video randomly on new Nvdia Shield Pro 2019
It seems I might have spoke too soon about the Android 11 update fixing the Asus router issue.  I just had playback stop while playing a music Blu-Ray.  Once in the past week at least seems like a huge improvement and something else might have set it off, but given the other bugs in the 11 update, I'm not totally surprised.  KODI 19.3 has had some random hangs, especially in the picture viewer where it seemed rock solid under the previous Android OS version (and on my FireTV 4K upstairs).

Users only stating "there are still problems" is also a problem: it doesn't help any of us, users or developers.

I finally got fed up with Shield TV months ago and their idiotic restrictions. It felt too much like what politicians are trying to impose on us all like the little dictators they are.

My solution was simple.

Took it to the garage, give daughter a big hammer and let her have at it.

Got a Lenovo mini, upgraded it to the max, created VMs, one for Kodi and one for Volumio (because of Kodi limitations) slapped it on a HDMI splitter then plugged the splitter into two different inputs on the receiver. As for Android box, not sure if I'll be going back to it because it's too much effort to lock down the telemetry crap. With Linux and Windows it's easy to solve.

What idiotic restrictions are you referring to?

i seem to have solved my issues by deleting V20.1 Nexus from under Recommended and installing V21 from under Development Builds. My odd disconnection and playback drops have stopped for the time being.

I would have bought your Shield (as long as it’s not the tube/stick which no one should buy) in a heart beat. I have 2 Shield Pros that run Kodi and they are great. One of the best Android streamers I own.

Setting TRS to 500 on my R7000 with Xwrt-Vortex seems to have done the trick. Thanks for figuring that out.
