Another gripe is if you attempt to watch HDR content on SDR, the conversion process, makes the image look dull and darker. There doesn't appear to be any real options on the Xbox when it comes to HDR, not currently, any way.

Got HDR working on my LG CX.
Basically follow the instructions on this video and set EOTF to ST2084 via HDMI Signalling Override screen and set tonemapping off from Kodis settings. This should work on later LG OLED models too.
It’s a bit awkward to change the setting everytime you start/stop watching movies but atleast it works.

That's not HDR!
Seen this 'information' being shared a lot recently but it's just forcing SDR into and HDR container so it's completely messing up the colour range.

I’m not talking about HLG HDR (thats what the video is about), the vid is just for knowing how to access the menu and change the EOTF setting from AUTO to ST2084.
Unless I’m totally wrong and ST2084 is not actually the real deal…
