Thanks for checking it. I tried installing Artwork Dump but had no luck. It seems I need to do some magic to connect to another repository but the steps aren't clear. So, I skipped that.

Next, I rebuilt the database and cleaned up the titles of some movies that weren't resolving. After that, all the queries for non-existent directories vanished. Much better!

However, there is still one movie that won't scrape, and there are no details about the error, just this:

2022-09-03 23:06:08.501 T:2531    ERROR <general>: GetDirectory - Error getting /media/Movies 03/Movie-Title (1960)

I see literally nothing else in the log about the error. The movie title and date do exist in TMDB. I've triple-checked. What does this error mean?

Following up... it looks like the error is happening while VideoInfoScanner is checking every directory. I.e.

I really don't understand what this means, but maybe(?) Kodi has some problem with the video file itself, not with scraping?

It's a VIDEO_TS folder containing files from a DVD. It plays in VLC. Handbrake can read it, and mediainfo reports details as expected.

Is there some way to validate the contents of a VIDEO_TS folder?

If no, I need the full Debug Log of you doing that as well as the link to the move at TMDB.

Thanks. Kodi is running on a server, so I don't have a standard keyboard. I use the Kodi remote for iOS.

I enabled logging, selected the movie, and tried Videos > Files ... Scan to Library on the pop-up menu. An alert appears to say "No video files found on this path!".

I also tried just playing it, but the entire screen flashes and the position in the movie browser is thrown to another movie in the list, far away. Kinda weird.

to Movies 03/The Dangerous Kiss (1960)

Does that work? I recall other users having problems with special characters in filenames on Linux - (Yūzō)

Renaming has no effect. Just tried and updated the library. No change. FWIW, I've used characters with macrons and accents a lot with no problems.

No. Just make sure it is a proper DVD folder with VIDEO_TS folder with the usual IFO, BUP and VOB FILES.
I've seen cases where users have deleted everything but the VOB files. Don't know why...

It looks okay. BUP, IFO, and VOB files, for VIDEO_TS, VTS_01, and VTS_02.

No complaints, errors, or warnings from VLC or mediainfo.

When I do that, nothing happens.

I wish there were some way to verify the VIDEO_TS is really okay. I tried DVDFab and DVD Decrypter, i.e., tried two different rips. Both finished with no errors, and the results can be played with VLC, but Kodi refuses to play or scrape both.

It seems(?) like Kodi is barfing on the video files, and somehow that is interfering with the scrape.
