I've been battling with this problem for some days now, so it's finally time to seek some advice.
I'm building a Kodi-box for my niece using a Raspberry Pi with LibreELEC. As it's for a kid, I'd like to use a PIN-code to protect all of the settings using the master lock PIN-code -functionality.
However, if I scrape let's say the movies on an external HDD to the movie library, everything works fine until I enable the master lock PIN-code. After enabling that, the movies-library shows up as empty, even if I don't enable any actual "lock" in the master code settings. As soon as I disable the PIN-code, the library shows up again as it should.
I've found some discussion about the issue, for example in here: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/20630
I've also found a pull request regarding this, I think: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/20692
However, neither downgrading to a LibreELEC version with Kodi 19.1 (stated on the links above that it should work on that version) or upgrading to the latest nightly fixes the issue for me, the library still shows up as empty after enabling the PIN-code.
I've tried even playing with different user accounts etc, but I always get the exact same empty library -result.
Am I doing something wrong, or how should I password-protect the settings only, without losing any other functionality?
