I am using the Plex video plugin to run my videos in Kodi.
This is ideal since Plex has no 3D video support.
On my FireTV Stick 4k everything runs smooth. I am able to start the movie. Configure 3D mode from auto to SBS and then I am getting asked for the "playback mode" and I just slect "Monoscopic /2D". Afterwards the Video is shown correctly and I see only one picture.
On my Google Chromcast with Google TV (that one with the remote) everything acts exactly the same but the video is still shown with two side by side pictures on the screen.
I double checked and reinstalled everything.
On both setups Kodi 19.4 ARM 32bit version is running. I downloaded this version directly from kodi.tv and installed it manually as android apk app.
On both setups I installed the Plex plugin from the addon repository downloader directly integrated in the Kodi tool.
Both setups are using the same Plex server and this has been tested with the same video.
Also the shown file name seems to be the same and includes "... - SBS-3D -..."
So beside the HW everything seems to be quite similar but it behaves different.
I also noticed that the OSD popups are shown twice or just once depending to the selected "playback mode". So the setting seems to have an effect on the OSD but not on the video itself.
Really hope you can help since my Chromecast is my maindevice now. Thanks.
