This particular setup is in my RV. I am using a USB drive and Kodi on a Fire TV Stick 4k Max to feed the TVs. First off, there is no operational issue, I can stream, select, view etc...all good.
The issue: The router is a TP-Link AC1750 v5 and used because it can run on 12VDC from the trailer. The only way to get Kodi to work with it is via FTP transfer and via port 21. When I view the movie and tv shows via Infowall, the Clearart and Clearlogo do not show up....at all....anywhere (the folders are copied from my home network and are identical and work correctly via NFS on the home network)....the text for the movie title and slogan do appear in place instead. At first I wasn't getting thumbnails and discart....but when I enabled <remotethumbs> in the advancedsettings.xml all that started working....so overall the experience is 80% of what my home setup is.
Is there some other feature I need to enable for the FTP transfer to pull those image files to make it work as I would expect at home via SMB or NFS?
I know there is reference that FTP isn't recommended, but this router doesn't seem to allow anything but FTP to access the USB drive....and overall it serves the purpose.
I'm just looking to see if there is something I am missing to get the full experience in the RV setup.
Thanks.
Chris
