Hi, unfortunately still getting the black screen.

Can I ask what version you are running? This should be fixed as of version 0.6.0 and I've tested it on a few different devices without running into problems.

The only other thing I can think of is... do you have something set in for 'Override fanart slideshow' in Skin Settings > Home > Background?

1) The default logic is for the listitems in the path of the shortcut to be used for the slideshow (e.g. the default Movies will use shortcut would use videodb://movies/titles/ as the source.

2) You can override this behaviour for a spefiic shortcut by choosing a corresponding path/playlist/image/multiart via the home menu configuration window (accessed through skin settings > Menus)

3) But then you can set a global override in Skin Setings > Home > Background which will use a single user-selected path/playlist for all menu items. 

If you have enabled Override fanart slideshow but the next field for the path is blank it should ignore it. But if something is set there such as a playlist or path for items that don't have fanart, then that would I think create a black screen as there would be no available fanart in that source for the skin to show.

Can you check that Override fanart slideshow is disabled, or that the path listed if it is enabled is for a location that would have fanart items (e.g. Movies, TV shows or Artists)

When you say watching TV, do you mean PVR? If so that is not supported at all by the skin currently, although I may add it later.

Oh, that fixed the issue. I tried pointing "Override fanart slideshow" to a multi art Pictures folder which resulted in the black screens. Now, instead, I used your advise and pointing to an overridden fanart slideshow in the library. Works great! Thank you.

I would still love for this amazing skin to have other views for Video files and Picture galleries. Browsing through video files (non-TV or Movie files) in list view with a black background feels a bit dull. If you want to expand on features for the skin. Again, loving this skin a lot! TY!

Skin settings>home>add movement to fanart slideshow reverts back to on after being unchecked when Kodi is closed and relaunched.

Skin settings>look and feel>show info on pause screen ...Info screen isn't showing on pause during playback.

I'll see if there's a way for me to easily make the global fanart override accept image/multi-image sources as well as playlists and library paths.

I've added Showcase and Strip square views to addon windows and Showcase square view to the pictures window in the latest version 0.6.2. I will also shortly add Strip and grid square views to pictures too.

You have to enable each view for the different windows in Skin Settings > Views. As a slight disclaimer, the more you enable, the longer the window will take to load when you first open it, so make sure to keep off any that you don't think you'll use.

Video files I'll have to think about, the reason I limited to listview thumbnails is because, for video files that aren't scanned to the library, they usually have a) low-quality thumbs, b) often have long filenames and c) don't have much available metadata. So the other views look a bit crap in those situations.

Just updated to 0.6.2, yep that's sorted the issue with moving fanart 👍. Second issue seems to persist with info not showing on pause... still shows if the info button is pressed so the mapping seems okay.

How do I install this skin please.When I download the repository from the 1st post, It is empty.TIA

To install via the repository you need to go to Kodi > file manager and then add the following link as a source: https://realcopacetic.github.io

Then go to addonbrowser and install from zip and you should be able to navigate to the source above and see a zip file that you can then use to install the repository.

Once that's installed, if you go to install from repository, you'll be able to find the skin Copacetic under Look and Feel in the realcopacetic Repository

No problem, this method lets you keep the skin updated more easily without having to manually reinstall new versions. If you set it to auto-update in addon settings, then it should just stay updated in the background and you don't need to do anything

Installed the repository, but the skin isn't listed anywhere  under "Look and Feel" for me to attempt again.
