I am a real newby to this so please help. I have a Apple I Mac OS 12.1. I have installed the latest version of Kodi for Mac

im trying to install simple client so I can add my m3u list

i googled instructions and although what I see is not exactly what it shows on the instruction page I find my way to the install button but it always fails. It also said some other dependencies had to be installed but they also failed

You'll need to provide a debug log

Essentially turn on debug logging, close Kodi, reopen, try add add-on, close Kodi and grab the kodi.log. it should tell us why it's failing, as well as info about your Mac and Kodi your using.

I have put the new and old logs into Hastebin. I retrieved them from my I Mac library

Odd. its trying to download some (i assume old) version number

https://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/matrix/pv...-7.5.1.zip This just does not exist, and is giving the 404 error to download.

That version 7.5.1 doesnt exist in the matrix folder (and doesnt even exist in the Leia folder). My gut feeling would be try renaming (or removing) the Addons33.db database in ~/Library/Application\ Support/Kodi/userdata/Database

Then start Kodi up and try again. It should get a version like https://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/matrix/pv...19.2.2.zip in the log file.

Thank you for your advice as i'm not very computer savy. I deleted the logs and i have now installed the Simple Client

I went to configure my m3u and the first time i did not put in a IP Address but did put in the URL

This did not load any channels

I then tried again but don't know what IP address to put in as it shows it wants 2 numbers to start and mine is 3  192.

So what ip am i meant to be using and is this causing the channels not to load

Secondly im on I MAC and the URL comes from Github

Is that causing an issue

Unfortunately i dont use iptvsimple, so i cant help with its actual use.

Do you use m3u lists If so how did you add it to KODI

If so when you added it how did you do it please and if asked for an ip address which address did you use
