QMX Stream Format in Kodi
#1
I have a stream I am unable to play in Kodi.  The new Sling Freestream service apparently delivers streams using a QMX format, is there a way to play that in Kodi, or is it a proprietary stream format that can only play within its own specific player. Is it a DRM thing?  Pardon my ignorance on the subject that's about all the info I have gathered so far.

Looks pretty much a copyrighted stream type.

Code:
What is a QMX file?

QMX files mostly belong to Quantum Streaming by Move Networks, Inc. Quantum Streaming is a method of breaking up video files into small segments and then feed those segments to a player which recombines them into a video to show. It is sometimes used by ABC (and other media suppliers) for videos. The Move Media Player is used to play the video. The player should be provided as a browser add-in by the site feeding the videos.

You need a suitable software like Quantum Streaming from Move Networks, Inc. to open a QMX file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your QMX file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a QMX file directly in the browser. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.
