I'm having the exact same issue on my AppleTV.

@phunkyfish I think you should be using special://profile not special://userdata in your migration to handle multi-profile configurations not just master.  I don't think this is why users are having issues though, but since only one user has even bothered to post logs it is hard to tell.

I am having the same issue as OP boblo on a 2017 NVIDIA Shield.

Rolled back to v20.7.0 and now works with epg populated as expected.

Cheers

I am having the exact same problem on a brand new CCWGTV, brand new installation of Kodi and IPTV Simple Client. Removing and reïnstalling IPTV Simple Client did not resolve the issue.

I'm pretty sure it is related to Android 12. My settings are configured to "local path" but I cannot open the Android > Data folder in the file explorer menu. The file explorer stays stuck within the Android folder and doesn't expand further. As such, the M3U playlist path remains empty.

I've solved the issue by:
  1. Connecting to CCWGTV through ADB over WiFi (guide)
  2. Locating the settings.xml file and pulling it to my PC
  3. Editing the settings.xml file to include the required local file paths
  4. Pushing it back to my CCWGTV over ADB
IPTV Simple Client is working fine now (in conjunction with IPTV Manager)

Settings.xml?  Where is this file located?  The latest version of iptvsimple should be using instance-settings-1.xml (I think).

In this post https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid3148055 the settings.xml seems to be missing, not sure if it is needed, but the values should now be in the instance-settings.xml

Just registered to let you know that this worked for me on Mac OS. Edited the settings.xml and changed every instance of special://userdata to special://profile.
Thanks!

Hi same problem here with Fire Stick TV 4K.

Is it possible to edit this xml file in the firestick?

I just installed ES Explorer on the firestick, navigated to the file and edited instance settings.xml with a bluetooth keyboard.

looks like that fixed the problem.

Are you guys using profiles or just logging in as master?  (posts with no logs don't really help get to the bottom of this)

I am not using profiles.  Log for my AppleTV not saving the configuration.  I didn't see anything useful and yes I configured the iptvsimple add-on:

Finally some logs with new information (still not debug though)   Without profiles special://userdata and special://profile should be the same but it looks like special://profile might not be working on tvOS.

If you go to the Kodi File manager->Profile directory->addon_data  what do you see?
