It's making it hard to see the content when needed to see some details on the frame, e.g.on YouTube or educational videos. Thanks.

That is skin dependent and, in some cases, also dependent on the version of the skin you are using. Estuary (the default Kodi sin) in Kodi 19 and 20 (and maybe 18 too), for instance, shows some UI elements for a few seconds after you pause, but then they disappear. You should find a support thread for the skin you are using and ask there.
