I think is the first skin 4K available to use with Kodi and have improvements in all skin areas. Have many improvements in customizations (main menu, skin settings, and views).

I could not agree more. MQ9 is much more "mature" and "polished" in comparison. I am NOT saying that MQ8 was bad, no it was a great skin/mod with some short comings and inconveniences but still great. IMO MQ9 is a great step forward. Kudos to Kodi team and @latts9923 for his great work on the MQ9 mod.

I'm with you. When I look at System>Add-Ons>Manage Decencies I have several Orphaned add-ons. Including:
Artwork Helper
Favourites Script
Grab Fanart
Image Resource Select Addon
Skin Helper Service Colorpicker

Can please tell us if any of the above are not really required and can be safely removed?

Thanks for confirming. Deleting one of the mentioned addons, results in a message to download the addon when its function is triggered. From what I understand from @latts9923 the required addons are no longer listed in an .xml file. In MQ7 one could easily edit the skin addon.xml file.

Where does the skin retrieve the status ORPHANED from? Maybe there's an option to change the status manually. I examined Addons33.db but could not find what I was looking for. It seemed there's no table "Addon status" in Addons33.db

Yes, it reverts to:UPDATE LIBRARY" after it re-scans it again.

Sorry, but I can not reproduce the error. When I select STOP SCANNING the scan stops as expected. This and the fact nobody else is reporting that error leads me to believe the problem is on your end.

When performing "UPDATE LIBRARY" from TV SHOWS and MOVIES "ORGANIZE" pull-down, after update is completed the pull-down stays on displaying "STOP SCANNING". When selected, it runs an update again and then goes back to displaying "UPDATE LIBRARY" ?

I'm on Windows 10 and update library performs exactly as described above.

OK.. Now I get you. if you let the scan complete the selector doesn't change back to Update instead it stays on Stop however if you then select Stop it will run Update again. So the function is correct it's just the choice displayed is wrong.

I was actually stopping the scan in which case it works normally.

I did a quick check on the stock MQ9 skin (no mod) and the result is the same so it appears there is a bug in the default skin and not introduced with the Multi-Mod.

My apology, I didn't completely understand what you were doing.

4. Image Resource Select Addon - Required to select an image resource in Skin Settings
5. Skin Helper Service Colorpicker - Required for color selections in Skin Settings

I believe these add-ons only show as orphaned if you installed another add-on (like a skin) that required the add-on and then you uninstalled the skin.

I have a fix for the "UPDATE LIBRARY" button in the Top Menu. It will be part of the next update.

I have a different kind of problem: 
Cpu load is a lot higher than with the MQ8 mod with activated weather plugin.
Because of in MQ9 there's a switching weather info on each site for example "cloudy / Chance of rain: 0.0%.
In MQ8 the weather display is fixed.
CPU load average MQ8: 0.35; on MQ9 1,55.
When i disable temperature and weather in theme-settings CPU load is goin down to 0,25.
I don't like to turn off the weather addon, so is it possible to change this switching infos to static?

Well that went pretty smooth, because it has uninstalled by itself, just like skinhelper colourpicker and image resource select addon. The weirdest bug on my system that I've experienced in 7 years of using Kodi.

It started to happen with Kodi 20.0 and MQ8. Although I do not think it was MQ8. I did reported that at the time. I am using Nvidia Shield`s Pro`s 2019.

Thank you. Than I have to find out, why they're missing on my system. I'm using custom submenu's. I'll test if the genre icons will appear when the default skin settings are active.

EDIT: Ah, I think I know why the genre icons won't appear on my system.

That was a change to the base MQ9 code...and yes, I wish it was an option too! I much prefer vertical mode for the main menu.
