OK, now I understand what you mean. Yes, I do get genre icons in 18 on Nvidia Shiels Pro 2019, but there is a bug, I thing.
Selecting:
"Action" --> "Action"  and "Adventure" and "Animation" and "Sci Fi" get selected
"Animation" --> OK

"Animation" --> OK
"Comedy" --> "Comedy" and "Sci-Fi" selected
"Crime" --> OK

I do not know if that is what supposed to be but that is what I am getting in view 01, 11, 18. All other views selection does not work at all.

I am not sure what is going on with this.  When none of  "genre" is selected I select, for instance, "Action". "Adventure" and "Animation" and "Sci Fi" as well.

A few issues I've noticed with the Modern View:
1) The cases don't fit the art. 
2) Can you reposition the preview window as well as the case so the preview window doesn't get overlapped by the movie list and case (if case is open)?
3) The alphabet scroll can only be accessed using the mouse however once visible the mouse is useless to control it you must use keyboard to select a letter.
4) Perhaps add choice of Clearart or Clearlogo?

Thanks for the screenshots. You're referring to the watched flag for movies in the Genre view. Imho the watched flags/markers are redundant. The watched flag beneath the genre icon could be a bug.

You mentioned that the number of movies in the topmenu is not correct. Do you have movie collections in your library? When Show Movie Sets (Settings/Media/Videos) is enabled, the movieset will be counted as 1 movie.

I checked the genre icons on my Fire TV Cube and they seem to be working just fine. I removed View Type-21 & 31 from Genres, so you should be able to choose View 1, 11, 18, 30, 32 and 33 for genres.

I'm not sure why your genres are getting marked as watched when you select them. Mine do not behave that way.

For your video totals in the Top Menu, if you have Sets enabled it will only display the total amount of videos that are not associated with a Set.

I just tested Skin Helper Service Skin Backup. As andrzejls stated, it does create a guisetting.txt that contains all your skin settings from settings.xml. If you run this backup before a skin update that requires a skin reset, you can reset the skin to set the newly added settings and then import the backup to restore your custom settings. This will not overwrite your new settings that were added after the skin reset. Once the restore is complete, you can then create a new backup that has the old and new settings combined.

Just another data point. I've been using the skin backup/restore after updating and resetting and it has always worked fine.

My bad, I was referring to VIEW-33, sorry.

I modified code of VIEW-29 (Music) and VIEW-28 (TV Shows and Movies) file " View28-597_29-601_Wall3D.xml" to remove 3D effect as a test. See below:

This is just a test. Maybe you can consider "cleaning" it up and incorporating those views (new numbers) in next rev.?

Yes sir...I'm using View 18 and the genre icons are displaying.

Fixed. I was still using an .xbt file for my genre icons. I re-installed the Xzener movie genre icons addon and noticed .png files are used for the genre icons instead of an .xbt file.

Hey buddy, Just a heads up - Future Font & candy cane fonts missing.

EDIT: Also Star Wars option for Flags, Skin animations, and option Grab Fanart.  That Seems like a lot - I'mmas reapply and reset again, but just in case - wanted to mention this

EDIT: Yeah, so all that was my bad - I messed up the install b/c I'm an idiot. All Good.  EXCEPT all my naming of the views disappeared. They're just numbered again.

I use "Skin Helper Service Skin Backup" to save all my customization's. Once new skin update come up and we have to run ful reset I use this backup to restore ALL of my settings/customization's. Saves me a lot of time and aggravation.

You can disable both of those reminders by going to SKIN SETTINGS > MAIN MENU and disable "SHOW REMINDER FOR SIMILAR ITEMS" and "SHOW REMINDER FOR ITEMS IN PROGRESS".

I added the Alphabet Scrollbar to View Type-04. It will be part of the next update.
