Linux GBM standalone no UI created
#1
Hi there,

I am running kodi-standalone in a linux docker environment. It worked now for some time, however after setting up a new system, I get no UI. Kodi seems to start, but nothing is shown in my TV via HDMI, it just stays in the login prompt.
Debug log: https://pastebin.com/YibF1hUF

Any help or hint on how to find the cause of this is appreciated.

Kind regards
  Chris

So, I set the HDMI port manually for the audio as well. Now I get the audio of Kodi (menu swooshes), but still no UI.

So I tried anything I could find. User groups, access to devices, installing right in the host system. No change, can't spot what is wrong. Apparently the kodi.log is not enough to find what is happening.

Does anyone know what else I can do to debug this?

Next thing I tried: Get some output via HDMI to the screen using modetest out of the docker and that works very uspectacular with the test screen.
Code:
root@8753b1a6116b:/usr/src/kodi-build# modetest -M amdgpu -s 85:#0
setting mode 1920x1080-60.00Hz on connectors 85, crtc 67

I still have no clue why Kodi won't output, currently thinking that it might choose the wrong connector.
